Just a tip, it may look a little odd on the plane, but I always wear my bulkiest items when travelling to save room in my bags. Pack the sandals and wear the combat boots. You should have seen me flying to edmonton with my -100 degree rated winter boots on so I could get them there without checking a bag lol

Wear them on the plane. When I use to travel overseas I would pack duffel with food and luxury items. Would have on several layers of clothes. Had to answer many questions from boss but it was so worth it

Thanks for the advice about wearing the boots. Luckily I have been able to make them fit, I rolled up my outfit for pajama night and some other small clothing items and my bug repellant and fit them inside the boots. Still got a few things I'll need to put in this checked suitcase (2 big bottles of sunblock) but I think it'll all fit.

Hopefully there will still be room for a bottle or 2 of alcohol infused whipped cream. I hear it's usually a hit at the pool

We'll be in the air exactly 4 weeks from now!

On a trip to Wal-Mart last night I found they had put up the big displays full of sunblock. That means that spring is almost here!

I took the opportunity to buy my big bottles of SPF-30 and SPF-50 for the trip.

    24 days!

We are so far behind the curve on this trip, since we got it booked so late. We still need to go through our costumes from October and figure out what we want to reuse, and what we need to get still, let alone worry about details like sunblock!

Don't stress, you still have some time! The only thing that we usually have to be careful about is outfits or accessories that ship from China. Those can sometimes take 2 weeks to come in the mail but it's worth it when it only costs a few dollars!

I'm big on reusing just about everything but Ms. TheRaam seems like she comes up with something new every time for just about every theme lol.

    Happy hunting!

Hedo is a wonderful thought right now, with the fresh coat of snow we received this weekend.

First time going to Hedonism end of March. We are very excited and especially to see Your group rolling through.
Anyone have any tips or thing to know? Things to do and things to avoid?

By doing some research we have found a lot of emphasis on themed costumes etc. SOOO... we booked so last minute, almost freaking out a little bit about not having enough time to get it all organized. Any ideas for men mostly for costumes? It's so much easier for women with the sexy lingerie and the skimpy dresses and fetish wear.... but what about the men? Any recommendations would be welcome.

Most of all though, we would love to strike up some conversations with others that will be attending that week to try and have someone to start the fun in the sun party off with...

see you all soon.... 19 more days...!!!!

Can't wait for Hedo. First timers too, I'm stuck working up north (-28C tonight) D is putting the finishing touches on our outfits and packing. We struggled with my costumes as well, some nights are easier than others. Toga night and glow party are pretty straight forward, grab a sheet and a whole pile of glow sticks. I'm hoping strongly that my beautiful wife will gather so much attention that no one notices my costumes might be lacking. As "virgins" ourselves I have no advice what to do or not, but from what I've read here bring a smile and the rest should be "no problem mon!" Can't wait to meet everyone

Someone had a similar question on the Hedo facebook page.

The short descriptions on http://www.hedonism.com/entertainment/theme-nights/ should get him started, if he hasn't seen them yet he should read these to get an idea. My main tip is less is more because it can be quite warm and humid in the open air of the dining room at night. None of my outfits have long pants or long sleeves and most are shirtless. Note that some of our group themes are different from some of the resorts themes, so here is a basic outline of ideas fo themes for guys for the week.

Fri, March 20-Rockstar: band themed t shirt, fake nose piercings or ear rings, shades, inflatable guitar, paint your nails black, wear a rock star styled wig, etc

Sat, March 21-pajamas and pasties: Pajama pants, no shirt. Cool/sexy or funny/goofy boxer shorts. Hugh Hefner style robe.

Sun, March 22-School: I personally go for the nerd look and dress in shorts, suspenders, and goofy glasses. Keep in mind you could also dreads like a jock, or a teacher/gym teacher/principal.

Mon, March 23-Glow: I wear white shorts (for any blacklights that might be around) and go nuts with glow sticks/bracelets/necklaces. Think rave party because that's what it's gonna end up being in the club!

Tues, March 24-Our tuesday theme is sexy wedding reception, so I'm wearing what was suggested on the schedule http://www.ysweek.com/march-events.html. Tux style shorts and a cheap novelty bow tie.

Wed, March 25-Fetish: spiked collar + skimpy faux leather bottoms from ebay

Thurs, March 26-Toga: I'll likely get some fabric and web search on how to tie a toga. Might get a head wreath. Will likely end up naked or next to naked in the foam. You probably wouldn't be out of place with some white speedo style swim trunks!

Fri, March 27-Character: You can dress up as any character you want. Super heroes/comic book, video games, tv shows, movies, famous people, cartoons, ANYONE!

Sat, March 28-Hats and Heels: wear a cool hat (or any hat) and whatever else u want.

Go nuts, or go subtle. It's up to you ultimately but Hedo is a great place to unleash your wild side.

It's your vacation and up to you whether you dress in theme, I do it because we enjoy it and it's fun
