Going to miss this year's cruise but, we're close to booking for 2014 on the Independence. Had an inside stateroom for the 2012 cruise but, after Dish's feedback, we're thinking a promenade room for sure next time. 6th, 7th or 8th deck folks? Any pros or cons? I'm thinking if we're too high up, we won't be able to see the action on the promenade as well but, you're a lot closer to the pool deck for sure! Great seeing all the 2012 folks heading out for more fun in 2013. We're sad we can't make it this year

The promenade rooms are fantastic! You can watch the action happening in the rooms across as well as what's happening on the promenade. I got the attention of a few people and started a fashion parade. I had everyone giving me a 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' to the outfits I had. It was a lot of fun. The bench seat against the window is a real plus too. We were on deck 6 which was one floor up from promenade which was a perfect distance.

My cruise earlier this year there was only snorkling, but that meant the whole day and no down time.

If you're going to book a snorkelling/dive excursion in Cozumel, I highly recommend the dive! We're not going this time, but we love diving in Cozumel. I admit to being a bit biased, since I can't stand snorkelling (ha ha ha), but the diving really is fantastic, and if it's a drift dive, so much the better. It depends on what side of the island you're diving on, but it's all beautiful.

I am so glad that my feedback has lead you to such a good choice! We really enjoyed the 6th floor and are happy to be in a 6th floor Promenade cabin again this year. I agree with everything Downunder Fun said! Being in that window seat during the nightly party was like being in the action, and everyone below waves and cheers. I'm still looking for the pics that I saw getting snapped while I was in the cabin grabbing a drink during the rock and roll party...

This trip can't come fast enough!! We are so looking forward to having fun and seeing old friends and meeting new ones!! We're still planning to hit Universal's Islands of Adventure on Friday, November 8th if anyone is interested.

I'm going to be in Vegas in a couple of weeks... July 23rd to August 1st... If anyone else is going to be there, maybe we can arrange a pre-cruise drink...

Dammit! We miss you, we'll be at Desire RM, we keep extending our booking there. So far we're staying 11 nights. Hardcore! We're planning on 'Swinging' by Vegas again after. We were there 2 months ago, but you can never go to Vegas (or Desire or LS Cruises) too much in our book.

That's too bad! Have a toast for us on the 5th though... it's our anniversary! Otherwise I'd probably be coming home from Vegas that day and we could have waved in the airport! Ha ha ha

Dining is unassigned with no set dining times. Just head down when you want and join the line, and you'll be seated with a group of people, unless you request a table alone. We had some fantastic conversations with the new people we sat with whenever we were in the dining room.
