Our first time on a couples cruise...

Hello everyone! This is our first time couples cruise and are not sure what to expect (Freedom of the Seas - 2013). All we know is we like of have sexy fun. We have been to the Topless pools in Vegas many times and have always had a great time meeting new couples. There are two private excursions scheduled on this cruise - one in Cozumel and one in Jamaica. Not sure if we should book them? Any recommendations? What are other couples planning to do while in these two ports? How do you pack for this type of cruise? It would be great to meet some new on-line friends before the cruise so we could feel we are not so alone. Any and all recommendations for this cruise is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Brett & Christy

Brett & Christy, just be prepared to have the most fun with the coolest people ever... This will be our 5th one, and they get better every time... We booked the Irie Mon Beach Break in Jamaica... Looks like a lot of couples are doing that... In Haiti we are doing the Private Island Retreat , which everyone can go to because Royal Caribbean owns the island.. We have not booked anything for Cozumel yet... Are you guys on any of the lifestyle websites ?.. That is a good way to meet lots of people before the cruise !

    Hello everyone

We usually go to Cap d'Agde to the famous naturist resort in the summer (where we were also this year) and want to try something new and this is why we also booked this cruise... We are so exited as we both like to be nude and meet other likeminded people who are into the lifestyle.

    Greetings from Switzerland

Hello everyone, we have a few questions. This is our First time on a LS cruise, yet we are diamond RCCL members. Does anyone know if the same diamond lounge benefits apply. ? As far as theme nights. Do people go dressed to dinner in theme attire or do they change after dinner? It's a bit confusing on the booking site....

Usually there are two themes per night. One for dinner that involves a color or dress theme then later in the evening you dress up in the main theme of the evening fetish, doctors an nurses etc.

The diamond and concierge lounges are just like a regular cruise just not that many people attend. There are no RCCL sponsored parties but there are plenty of meet and greets.

Since you are a frequent cruiser here is a thread that may interest you.

If you are looking for value you booked the wrong cruise. If you are looking for fun you found the right ship. Everybody goes to Labadee and after that you are on your own to chose. We booked the Irie Mon Beach Break and the Playa Mia Beach & Water Park. Royal Caribbean does offer other excursions that you can book on the ship. The inner child in us want to play naked on the beach and go to the park.

Hi there! We are thinking about joining this cruise but wanted to ask the guys who have been on a couples cruise earlier what's the percentage of guests under 30? We are 25 and 24 years old so we're a bit worried that we'll be the puppies there.

Turning 30 the week of the cruise and my wife is 28.

Anyone know how much the drinks normally run? Are the drink packages worth the cost?

    Chris and Nova,

You won't be the puppies. There are many younger couples that attend. Last year there were various meet and greets for under 40's and maybe even under 30's. There should be an SLS group for under 40's. Message Matt and Bianca through the forum for details.

We're really sad to announce we have just had to cancel our cruise this year. I've just received some major work projects that need to be finalized by the end of November and we are super bummed about it. We'll see some of you in May on the LAX cruise and should be back on the Freedom in 2014.

If anyone is missing our Aussie accents, we've just come back from 11 nights at Desire RM and have done a 'Video Trip Report'. It was almost as exhausting as the Freedom of the Seas, but not quite.

We're so sad we won't see you all this year but please keep in touch and we will continue to keep up to date with all the news on the forum.
