Pretty much what Island life said. It can be a life saver if your flight is delayed. Gives you somewhere to chill while waiting with food and drinks
It is not a bad idea if you are arriving mid day on Saturday. Lines can be long and it speeds things up a lot. Food and drinks while you wait for your bus is also a nice addition.
Definitely spend the extra and use Club Mobay. Avoid long lines and somewhere to sit and wait for your bus/private transfer and to wait before your flight home complete with drinks and food .

The entry issue, generally, is not customs but the lines for immigration processing. Customs for arriving guests is generally just takes a few minutes as most go thru the green line. Immigration, especially in the prime hours of between 1pm and 4pm, can take a considerable amount of time.
We didn’t use it the first time we came into town but used it the second time and all times after that. It’s a great thing to have when the immigration lines are long as the room is going to be very warm as well. To use it is so worth it plus they go locate your driver for you while you get a drink in their lounge. Also using when leaving is nice as the shuttles/taxis like to get you there 3 hours early so it’s nice to have a lounge availible to relax in and have a drink and some finger food.
We will never go to Jamaica without it.
Good morning All: Happy Holidays to everyone. Hope Santa has treated everyone well? We have been to Jamaica quite a few times, and been to Hedo about 5 or 6 times. We have never used Club Mobay? We have flown with Tim air a few times? We fly 1st class into Montego Bay, so we are usually one of the 1st ones off the plane, and usually get through customs quick, but sometimes the bus ride to Hedo can be challenging, with waiting to fill up the bus, or multiple stops, so whatever time we did save, was wasted... If you could tell me how much Club Mobay is, & how do you go about booking, and can you book it with private transportation as well? Or if someone could point us in the way of just private transportation?
Generally, it is not the lines for customs that is the problem/delays; rather, it is immigration processing. If you are lucky enough to get to use the kiosks, then getting thru immigration is much quicker.
Boatlover1995 I believe we paid 80.00 each for arrival and departure. They are right outside the jetway doors wait8ng for you fast pass you thru immigration and customs.
As for transportation we love using Ashton Pitt, he can be reached at acetourjamaica@gmail.com or his website is http://www.ashtonacetourjamaica.com/
Hope this helps you.
I suspect most of you have seen this, but just incase:

Even though we have never experienced a queue like the one in the video, it was that part of the video that sold us.
Boatlover1995: Booking Club MoBay is easy through their web site at http://www.vipattractions.com/
Thanks for the advice. Checking them out today.
couldn't decide if we would book club mobay or not but after reading what people said about it we booked it for arrival this morning thanks
Damn!!!!! Just went to book Club Mobay for our arrival, and the website shows that they are full to capacity!!!
boatlover1995:
Try booking via this site: https://www.viator.com/tours/Montego...d432-6432MOBAY
They seem to have availability when VIP Attractions says they are booked up. You can book both arrival and departure services. viator.com is a tripadvisor company
Good Morning:  I did sign up for the waiting list. I can understand them cutting off at "full capacity", but we don't want to hang out there in the lounge, we just want to get through the formalities as soon as possible and get to our car to get to Hedo... :sex: For going back to the States , we have a tradition of having a snack @ Margaretaville, :biggulp: and always looking for our previous writings on the walls...
Damn!! Both of those sites were "Sold Out" too!!!! We are flying 1st class, and Jo- said that this trip She is planning on us just doing "Carry On", (Which I will believe when I see it!!!), I'm hoping we will be one of the 1st ones off the plane and through the security check points ... I'm mad at myself , I don't leave things until the last minute, especially when vacations are involved :D, I should have taken care of this sooner :(!!!!
Sounds like the pros outweigh the cons... We went ahead and booked Club Mobay for arrival and departure.
It’s our first time, so we want to do it right.
I wish they had something like this for when we go to Tempations in Cancun.
Great forum, I appreciate everyone taking time to give their opinions.
When visiting for Halloween, it took us over 1 hour to get thru immigration (this was on Sat morn). When we returned for Christmas/NYE, wanted to possibly avoid lines, and tried Club Mobay the first time. There was no line in immigration on arrival, so that was a waste, we did have about a 15 minute wait in the Mobay lounge before the bus.
Departing, the airport was a madhouse (12:30pm, 1/03). In the fast track Club Mobay line, we were slower getting thru security than the regular line, by about 10 minutes judging by people entering regular lines at the same time as us. Then, the lounge was full, and a bit of a madhouse in itself.
This was our 1st time with Mobay, and for us, not worth the cost. I'm sure at times it's worth it though.
We always book Club Mobay both ways. After our first Hedo trip we were stuck in customs for two hours!! We love the departure lounge with the drinks and food.
We have used Club Mobay for both departures and arrivals. The departure lounge always seems to be a zoo, there is no good food and all-in-all it is marginal at best. I don't know if they spend more time scanning the Club Mobay passengers or what, but that line always seems to move slower than the normal line at security. For arrivals I would use it if there are two or three flights scheduled to arrive about the same time as ours or if it is after noon on Saturday, otherwise it is not worth it.
