We're booked Aug 7-14. I've been checking around and can't find anything to suggest it's closing earlier than the 22nd. Where did you hear this news?
No new bookings for anything beyond 8/14. Just checked as we are trying to plan out a last minute trip.
Sent an email and just got confirmation from H3 that they will be closing on the 17th.
We are booked Aug 7-12. I called to make sure that the closing date wasn't the 7th. I was told that they are closing the 17th, but not taking reservations after the 14th.

I also called down, to verify exactly when the resort will actually close for remodeling and renovations. I confirmed by phone with a staff member at Hedonism III that the resort will be closing on August 17th, not August 22nd as previously reported. All reservations for bookings up until August 14th will still be honored. So, since y'all you have a reservations for August 7th to August 12th, y'all are good to go.

I can't imagine what a sad day it will be those last few hours of the resort being open... and the last 3 days only having departing buses with no one new arriving... so glad we are not going to be there for that. DIF.

As we spent part of our last day in the quad pool on Friday room renovations were already beginning- painting, furniture and fixture replacement, etc.... even in a couple pool front rooms. They are wasting no time.

AWOL held the funeral for H III on Friday night. What a night, we closed the resort with style that won't be out done.

Hedo 3 is closing officially August 17th. That is per staff on site this past week. They are offering people to transfer to H2 if your stay goes longer than the 17th.
Absolutely depressing. It was fun while it lasted. I don't know if we would want to be there to see it being torn apart and redecorated. Bleh! Just terrible.

We just got back last night from H2 and we ran into a few couples that had to be switced over due to H3 closing on the 15th.
Just got back from H3 yesterday. They started basically shutting down on Thursday - very depressing. Between the staff, tour operators and artisans who were terrified about how they would make a living after the closing to the eerie sight of people clearing furniture out of rooms to throw away in dumpsters, there wasn't much to smile about. The owners may be happy about the switch but there was no one we saw, guest or employee, who thought the SuperFun Club was a good idea. The service we got was the worst in the 5 years since we started going there due to them firing all but 3 ECs and cutting back their food and bar service while we were there. Very, very sad.
That sux for you guys...we were thinking of going this weekend, for old times sake but then figured what you described would happen. We instead are going to go do a recon trip to H2 in October!!Quote:

Wow...I didnt realize they changed the closing date...We couldnt go, anyway, but THIS is sadder than I thought. I will open a bottle of Red Stripe that night at 8:00 EST, and ask that you ALL do the same...one massive salute to the home we leave to history...

The word, we received last week before we left was, that they are still moving them to H-2, additionally we were told that Kevin, the GM at H-2, is going to offer a free nights stay to people who can locate their rocks...a very good marketing tool if you ask me...Quote:
