We didnt even get off the at all the ports the last time we were on Freedom....While at sea the lines for the Wave Machine were very long and when in port there were no lines.

Just reserved at the Airport Marriott Hotel
Not sure if they have offically openrd reservations for the group on the cruise however Orlando Airport Marriott rooms are now available at a standard rate of $109 per night. I booked with the Gov't rate at $97. (I also booked the Radisson Hotel at $97 (Gov't rate) since I haven't yet decided which hotel I want to stay at.Last year we had a lot of fun at the Radisson however this year our direct flight from Ottawa only arrives in Orlando around 8PM so may want to just stay in Orlando...decisions..decisions. Hubby likes to be near the port so he can sleep in longer Sunday mornong :-o I prefer to stay on Orlando since we arrive late...we'll see what we decide :)
Thanks for posting that, Ariescouple. To be sure we don't miss out, we've just followed your lead and made our reservation there as well.
We've been watching this forum on an almost daily basis for the official announcement - which must still be forthcoming - so it's a relief to get that taken care of and make sure we have a room when we arrive and won't miss the pre-cruise party/parties!!
See you there...!
T&L.
Hi again everyone! We've been a bit quiet on the forum since the last cruise, only because it's an excruciating wait for the next one! We're back on deck SEX (six) overlooking the promenade, 6313. We've also booked Celebrity for May 2014, finally, a cruise only one stop from Australia. If I can throw my 2 cents in, the Airport Marriott was the place to be last year and we'll definitely be arriving on the Friday night before the cruise. Just curious, were there any 'post cruise' parties last year?
A bit of FYI for any newbies or anyone else that's interested here's a great TV show. We might be a bit slow on the uptake down under, but we recently found out about this show Playboy TV Swing. We met a few of the regulars from this show on the last Freedom cruise and you might even see some people you know. ;)
Looking forward to seeing everyone again. If you don't already have one, here's a countdown until embarkation. Freedom of the Seas Cruise Countdown

Just realized the AAA/CAA rate for the Orlando Marriott is cheaper than the gov't rate - $93 per night so changed to the CAA rate :)- every few dollars count !
In case you haven't heard yet, the November 2014 cruise has just been announced. The best rooms on the ship are still available but won't be for long. We just booked!
Here's the link with info.
I noticed the Nov 2014 popping up on all the websites however a bit disappointed that it is going to 2 of the same ports as the Nov 2013 cruise. I try to justify why I keep going on cruises at the same time every year & going to different ports makes sense ( this year it's Western Caribbean last year it was Eastern). At least it's a different ship in Nov 2014 . So hard to always have to plan so far ahead of time. I booked a promenade room for Nov 2013, had a balcony in 2012 & not sure if I were to book for Nov 2014 which room I prefer since I will not know till after the Nov cruise...decisions, decisions.... :-o
We're looking at booking as well... but we're thinking we'll wait until after the Freedom cruise... this is our first lifestyle cruise and we don't know what we don't know yet... so we're thinking that we'll have a better idea of what we want to do when we get back. I do wish they were going somewhere other than Haiti and Cozumel on this trip though. Panama? Belize? Cayman? /sigh
BTW: I almost bought a dive resort in Roatan about ten years ago. It's a nice place IMO. I especially enjoy the west end for those who are familiar with it... it's (was?) a great place to eat, drink and hang with free-spirited travelers. Roatan is a beautiful island and great reef and wall diving to be had for those who are inclined to log bottom time out of bed. ~grin~ It has a ton of beautiful tropical forest and fauna to explore and if you get up on the ridge lines, the views are spectacular.
Okay so I gave in & booked a balcony on Deck 10- 1588 :) . Was on the 9th Deck (balcony) last year & booked the 7th deck Promenade room this year so figured would try the 10th ( heck we like a bit of variety in the lifestyle don't we :-o)
Yes... it does go to the Independence page, but if you read the description of the trip, it mentions that it goes to Jamaica (instead of Roatan) and lists the ship as the Freedom of the Seas (instead of the Independence).
Quote:
The itinerary of Labadee, Jamaica and Cozumel is one of the best group of ports with some of the best custom excursions you will ever find. From spectacular clothing optional diving, snorkeling and beach parties, to a private island where we will have the entire island (Labadee) to ourselves, there are many exotic and erotic adventures for you.
Of course, our favorite time is on board the ship. the Freedom of the Seas has so many different venues and places to party, you will have lots of choices when it comes to music and activities. Every night is a theme night, so count on being sexy and meeting other sexy couples from all around the world on this historic Party at Sea.
Here is what I seee when I click on the link ( unless it was changed recently- had not noticed before)
