In addition to my posted checklist I like to remind myself and the Krewe de Krazy Life group:
1. Passport (valid thru 2018) in hand————-check
2. Airline confirmation & ticket/boarding passes available———–check
3. Costumes laid out—————–check (and all the "fun" essentials from the checklist)
4. Creating a mindset for so much fun in the sun and special delights at night—————check
5. Liver & kidneys tuned up—–check (always seems to be a work in progress–lol)-----check
6. Tanlines gone or reduced & plenty of sunscreen packed-----check
7. Ready to leave work and daily responsibilities behind———check!!!!!
8. Smile lines and tingly anticipation forming——-check

Just got back from 8 nights of solid party time. Time to go to work so I can get some rest and let the liver dry out!
First time back since our "epic" trip in 2014, and I can say for certain the Desire "experiment" is over for us. Had more fun on this trip than the last 3 years at Desire combined. Hedo is our kind of party.
We are not with the Krewe, but we get in the day after. What can you tell me about them? Are they inclusive of other groups? How many travel with the Krewe? And are there many private or offsite events planned? Thanks in advance.Quote:

And I know in the past we have had some spontaneous off-property adventures that are generally created the 1st couple days. Trips downtown Negril or Margaritaville, or Floyds and even to Appleton Estate, etc have occurred with some of the Krewe in the past. Again, never anything required. This is personal time for everyone and everyone is there to do their own thing---but they always have the option to hang with other Krewe who can be identified easily by their distinctive Krewe beaded name necklaces and neon colored corded wristbands with their roomkeys and a special Krewe logo medallion.

We were there on a day and night pass on the 14th, met some great people and will absolutely be back. Only regret was not exchanging info with some of the people we met.

To anyone currently there: I read elsewhere that the prude pool and pool bar were closed for repairs. Is this still true? We are arriving next week and hoping things will be back to normal by then.

From what I read on their site they are doing work on the prude pool and bar and it should be done in a couple weeks. There are other pools other than the nude and prude pools, there's also a main pool up by the buffet. Not sure if that's included as well. Also supposedly there is a temp prude bar set up so from the sound of things there should be something for you guys on the prude side when you're there.
4 more days !!! I think it is just the small prude pool near the prude beach. If that is the case then it is no big loss. Plus I have always said that pool could be a lot of fun if the redid the bar and some pool stuff right there so who knows maybe it will make that pool more appeling to hang out at next time.
Either way we are going to be naked Saturday and ready get shit started .....LOL
