My daughter lives there! Try searching VRBO/AirBnB for Red Hook/Sapphire Beach area, on the East end of the island. Red Hook is where all the restaurants & bars are on the East end. There are several condo complexes on Sapphire Beach that are reasonably priced & about a mile from Red Hook. Sapphire Beach also has a beach bar that serves food & a coffee shop that serves breakfast daily. You'll love it!
