Hey all!
We are trying to remember: does anyone know if you can walk the beaches off property (i.e. Sandals and the other resorts) topless?
We remember walking the beaches and we THINK we remember seeing ladies at the other resorts laying topless. But is it acceptable for non-guests to walk through those beaches topless?
If it is OK, and if you have, are there any problems with it? Do you get dirty looks??

I don't think it's allowed.
There can be a decent amount of children at other resorts depending on the time of year, holiday schedules, etc. A few of the other resorts may have topless areas but I can't imagine it's Ok to just walk the beach topless.
Not sure but little kids stay at the other resorts so I'd hope you wouldn't.
Appreciate the replies. We did not recall that there were family-friendly resorts that close to Hedo.
Guess we'll have to walk on property only!!

I saw a string bikini at Sandals once! I think topless off Hedo property might get you arrested unless you are at a resort where it is allowed.Sandals definitely does NOT condone it.......
We have walked the beach off resort and don't recall seeing topless and as others have said it is probably illegal. Also many local people are quite religious and I would not want to risk offending them. Lots of beach at Hedo, I suggest keeping it there. :rockon:
But do they let you cross over to Sandals along the beach? I've noticed there's always someone there, but haven't checked it out. And how far south can you go from there?
Sandals next door is no kids.... So you can go topless there, but not any further...we saw it last April....
I wouldn't worry about it. Negril is pretty laid back. Years ago I was driving from the town of Negril and got a phone call. So I pulled off the road to take the call, and watched a hot young woman walking down the beach topless and in a G-string. When she got to the part of the beach where it came close to the road, she pulled her bikini top from around her waist, put it on until she was far away from the road and whipped it off again..... This was down by the public park near Beaches hotel....
All you can do is put it on if someone gets upset or comments. You could also be considerate when walking by family resorts.
We nearly always take a beach walk when there. There is a security guard at the end of the property next to Sandlals, simply give them your room number and you will be allowed to go through. Though my wife wears a top while walking, we have seen several topless ladies during our walks at several of the different resorts. We even saw a topless lady building sand castles with her children, so I don't think it is illegal, but it is not widespread, but it does happen. Would be interested to hear how it goes if you decide to try it...enjoy your trip
It's not illegal to be topless on seven mile beach, it's not common but you will see it. We stayed at Rooms on the Beach two years ago and my wife was topless there all week, nobody complained. Seems that only us North Americans have an issue with this, topless sunbathing is very common in other parts of the world. European children see naked breasts on the beach all the time and don't seem to be traumatized by it.
Agreed...and my wife goes topless all the time at Sandals as well as wears her Wicked Weasel and Malibu Strings bikinis as do others.
