    Etiquette of Nudity

I have not seen anything posted about the etiquette of nudity which I'm sure there are some "do's and don'ts".

    Anyone care to share?

Get naked, stay naked. Just don't go to the lobby naked! I know from experience that they will not let you stay. I can't wait to get back! We'll be there 3/38 - 4/5

The naked thing is as simple as DeDe described. Just use common sense pertaining to social behavior and have fun.

Can you be more specific regarding your concerns?

Try to be the first lady naked in the disco and lead the way for all the other beautiful ladies to follow suit.

We're not sure what specfic questions we have................... We just don't want to offend anyone by not knowing what certain situations might require.

As was asked, its hard to know what you want from your question, but I
    suspect you mean things like:

Don't stare. Many people are there to enjoy being naked, not there for
your visual entertainment. Respect that. I would add, though, that there
are some that are there to 'entertain' you. Enjoy it, but don't be a creep
    about it.

On one of our trips there were two couples that would stake out some
space in the wading pool every day in the afternoon and put on an oral
'demonstration'. The first day I felt a bit strange just watching them. On
following days it got to be quite fun being their audience - knowing that's
    exactly what they wanted.

No cameras. Yes, you can have a camera on the resort. You can take
pictures of yourself and you partner. You can ask someone to take pictures
of you and you partner. You can take pictures of the grounds and the area.
Just no pictures with other people - especially not naked people - unless you
have permission from them to take their picture. Everyone needs a picture
for the scrapbook of themselves standing naked under the 'Nude Beach. No
Photography." Just be careful who might be in the background...

There are several variations on this, I;m sure, but those are the first things
that come to mine. Anything else???

I guess the thing to say is that there are some "institutional" rules (easily found on the Hedo sites), and some "social" rules. The social rules are easily figured out by starting slowly, and watching what others do. Unless you are completely socially inept (not the case, since you took the time to ask the question), you're not going to even raise an eyebrow with any "mistakes".

Relax and let common sense be your guide.

Sitting your bare ass (etc) on a towel is considered good form.

This book was recommended to me when I first hit the boards, and while I still had a million and one questions after reading it, it did help me understand the basic culture of Hedo.

    Good luck!
Its a good book, but in many examples, it does paint with a broad brush. I will
hardly say that I'm the best source of info on Hedo, having only been there
twice. The thing that I would say about the book, though, is that on a scale
of 1 to 10, many of the examples are 9.5 or 10 as far as most outrageous,
bizarre, or extreme. I'm not saying that they are not true, but what my wife
and I've saw and experienced puts Hedo 6 or 7 day in and day out for
    outrageous, bizarre, and extreme.

I guess my suggestion here is if you read something in the book and it excites
you, you can probably find something similar at Hedo - even if you have to
make it happen yourself. If you find something in the book that scares you,
crank back the intensity a few clicks and that's probably more realistic for
what your experiences at Hedo will be.

One of the most difficult things to master when first faced with a situation involving nudity is what to say. In a clothed situation, it's common to compliment someone on meeting them with something such as, "nice dress", "nice tie", "love your jewelry" or something like that. So the problem becomes what can you compliment about a nude person without insulting them? Perhaps "nice makeup", or "I really like your hair" would work to establish rapport, however something like "great boobs" probably wouldn't be too smart.

On a less serious note, double and triple check yourself for toilet paper before leaving the bathroom.

A quick story. We were there for a week last October. We met a very nice couple and hung out with them some of the time. On the day they had to leave, we were at the nude pool laying out all naked on some lounge chairs. They come fully clothed to say goodbye. So I'm thinking, do I get up to give her a hug good bye? What's the ettiquette book say about this one? So I pretty much said the hell with it, stood up and gave her a bear hug. It was all very normal and easy. Before we went on our first trip, I couldn't have imagined a scenario that had me nakedly hugging a clothed women whom I barely knew. Only at Hedonism......
