The problem was people figuring out cheaper to stay at Point Village with say Air B&B and buy a day and night pass....eat and drink all day, far cheaper than a room at Hedo. The day/night pass was priced so that it became economical to stay elsewhere, Hedo is in the business of selling rooms and not catering to "pass" people. If someone wanted to try Hedo...it was available, but I think too many people were taking advantage of the cheaper rooms elsewhere and circumventing the Hedo room prices. So I can understand the increase. Yes it is now pricey for people wanting to try it out with the prospect of booking in the future....but they had to stop the people "beating" the system. I also found it unfair that people did this for 7 days....with the intention of vacationing at Hedo, and not wanting to pay the rate but found a go around with a cheap room and pass. Not so lucrative now to do this. Day passes are still available, although expensive for those wanting to try it out.
