    Great list!

I've heard the advice before, but has anyone ever been questioned on the prescription meds?

I will say this about meds, my best friend was stopped for a head light out here in texas. She get her meds in 90 supplies so she puts in her purse only a small amount of what she needs. When she was stopped they asked if they could do a sopriaty test ( she passed) but it was late at night and they asked if they could search her car she said yes she had nothing to hide, your purse is in your car it's part of your car, they looked and found her meds and took her to jail. She was there two day with a 300 bond and they towed her car which cost another 300 bucks. All her meds are hers and she has valid perscriptions but she has a court date for her narcotic charge she has right now. It is illegal to carry certain meds...Valium, zanex, hydro ect not in it's true bottle even if it's yours Crazy

    Good additions to the list.

As for the meds, anyone entering the USA from Jamaica can be scrutinized more closely so having proper documentation can simplify and verify any situation more effectively than trying to explain any suspect medications.

I have traveled to 6 continent/82 countries and carry my prescription bottles/paperwork not only for customs stops but also if I were to have to be hospitalized, doctors would have access to my exact meds and I would be allowed to use them because they are in their originlal containers and I would not have to use meds from an unknown source.

Yeah I have never thought about either, until this happen with my friend. I only carry migraine meds and your basic OTC stuff...none of which will get you in trouble , it's all the fun stuff that has to stay in the orginal bottles and damn it I don't have that lol. Just a big pain for her, money, time, and embarrassment ...now she has to go to the da with a dr.s note showing all hers and see if he will drop the case

Lock at the airports really don't offer any security and at the resort, the room safes are large and deep for any valuables.
