This is the email we received from Lance Parrish last night in response to our questions about H3. Hope this means good news


Thank you for taking the time out to express your concerns regarding the closure of Hedonism III. The reality is we have to close the resort to undergo some refurbishing, some of which would be disruptive to the hotel operation such as refurbishing the main swimming pool and the waterslide. We will close on Aug 22 and reopen Oct 14 and will still cater to adults 18 years and over.

We will have a formal response for you when the release is issued later this week.

Let's just hope it is a Hedo resort still. Even if it caters to 18+ we still may not be able to do our beloved PDA's if we choose to!!!! They may make it into another resort with PDA police. WE WANT OUR PDA'S IF WE CHOOSE TO!!!!!

DIF: Dreaded Island Fever (caught immediately upon arrival at Hedo, and never cured. Symptoms are only lessened by visiting Hedo again.)

funny i was on here a long time before someone finally posted that question DIF - Dreaded Island Fever.
PDA's i allways thought was public displays of affection -but maybe its more like public displays of action? though i think it should just be public displays - PD's

you may catch DIF upon arrival however symptoms dont show up till you leave the resort most definitely by the time you get to the airport. they tend to worsen upon arrival home and for the following week, symptoms can be alleviated, to some degree, by planing and scheduling your subsequent trip and frequent visits to 4hedonism website - although reading trip reports after being back for several months can cause an acute flare up.

I would say it's too soon for any I told you so's.

Something is happening here that is likely to have some impact on Hedo as we know it or why would they be changing the name and why all the secrecy?

If it was staying the same, there would be no need for any "updated information" at the JAPEX or any formal press release. They would just say we are upgrading and making Hedo super fantastic.

It's good to see a response from Mr. Parrish in all of this though!

16+ would be horrific in any situation....but I GUESS there must be a need for family resorts somewhere! LOL

Thank you for your comment on my picture...that was taken after our wedding vow renewals which they did a great job on ALL the pictures they took.
