Hedo III is closing for good (BAD)

I just got off the phone with the PR Manager.

H3 closing mid August 22nd - 14 October

When it reopens it will be called Superclubs Superfun Resort
16 and older but family oriented
Still have a nude side but extreamly toned down

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Wait..... we were planning on doing a day trip to H2 this time anyway to see if we might like to go there next time - we will just move our rock over there when we visit H2

I've had this confirmed elsewhere, as well (non-message board related).

FYI - if you call superclubs and not the front desk at H3, they'll tell you that "they're not certain if it will be re-branded" but that it's closing Aug 22 - Oct 14th. They say something "is in the works" but they don't "know as of yet"...

I just called and received the same sort of answer...

Kinda makes sense - if both resorts are for the most part only at 50% - combine the two at the larger resort (sad cuz we really liked the small intimate feel of H3) maybe they'll find this new branding doesn't work out as well as they had hoped and they will bring H3 back where it belongs!!!!

This is the first time the news is not a rumor. Just got off the phone from a very well informed Hedo agent and it is true this time. Details are always scetchy, but this has been known for a couple months by some insiders. Remodel of some sort is planned (nude pool/ hot tub area and Raggae cafe are a couple). Daytime sexual activities most likely will be enforced . Other than that nothing has been told to booking agents. This time of year was picked because occupancy is 30% or less and is smack dab in the middle of hurricane season.

Except for minor renovations there was nothing wrong with H3 to begin with. If it ain't broke don't fix it! What about pool volleyball? H2 only has beach volletball....too hot for that shit

The way we get them to change their mind is when they re-open (re-branded) go to H2 instead (kicking and screaming)..... you are right with all of the super new, super large resorts in the H3 area, why would family's pick the old H3 resort....my guess that after a year they will see their little experiment didn't make sense and/or cents and hopefully with all of our friendly suggestions and requests they will bring H3 back for us loyal H3 family!!

Not just Hedo III closing, but what does that do to the price of booking at Hedo II? We just got back Saturday and paid less than $3,000 total for 8 nights for the both of us with airfare included at Hedo III. I bet you will never see that again. Probably closer to $4,000 once they see how full they will be at Hedo II.

Also, once people start getting bumped more often and pissed off, places like Desire (I wouldn't go there) will see a increase in business! I hope Superclubs thinks this through.

so the facts are ....
1. hedo 3 will be closed for part of august-october
2. people booked during that time frame will be relocated to hedo 2

as of yet people booked after that mid october date have not been changed
(were one of them going with a group and as of yet havent heard about a relocation)
there is a good possibility its just being done over and not rebranded?
