H3 closing in August

Just had an e mail from our agent to say H3 closing mid August 22nd - 14 October & that we will be re-booked to H2.

Anyone else heard about this? A bit unsure as we liked the couples ethos at H3 ^& were planning on flying back to UK from Kingston to get some extra days - not likely to do so if at Nigril!!

I just got back this weekend and all was good.
Nothing in disrepair.

Holy crap! We just got back too and the place was awesome. I just called too and sure thing, Hedo is closing. The woman I spoke with said it would be closed for "several" weeks. I pressed her on how long and she said they were considering re-branding. I asked her to what and she said they haven't released that information yet. My guess would be that this is due to the really low occupancy.

This is worse than finding out Santa didn't exist when I was five.

I just got back from our virgin trip on Sunday and there were a lot of things that were advertised that were not working and they were trying to paint things here and there. I actually said to hubby that they need to close the place down for a month or so and make it new again, bring it up to "new standards" without interupting anyones visit. A lot of air conditioners not working, tiles broke here and there, and so on. Not at all a huge deal, but just a lot of little things. Let's hope that's all it is cause that is the ONLY resort we ever want to go to again, so cross your fingers!!! LET ME MAKE IT CLEAR - I AM NOT BEING NEGATIVE ABOUT THE RESORT IT WAS SIMPLY SHOWING ITS AGE - and if they can shut it down and redo it and make it like new again and open it BACK UP AS HEDO, that would be awesome!!!
