I just have a small gripe about people registering on this site and visiting all of our personal profiles and they have absolutly no info on themselves. I don't expect a ton of info. just some basic info...So tired of looking at all these empty profiles and wonder why....Just my problem or does anyone else get tired of seeing these empty profiles also....

Me too. I mean just a little somethin something you know? I guess some people just really like lurking maybe. I don't think we talk to anyone who doesn't have pics or info - seems too shady to me. Pics I can actually understand because of kids, work or whatever but just a little info...where from, when are you going, anything. It's more fun that way!

Okay, I personally dont have a lot of info in my profile but, Im real (havent looked at your profile and now im afraid to ), I have been many times and met lots of other real people from the forum in person as half of my friends list.

I suspect that the people with nothing are just lookie-loos (Trolls) as Uniflip mentioned in this thread UNI'S THREAD HERE.

There are voyeurs everywhere!
For me this just enforces the rule of "Dont post anything on the internet that you dont want your parents, pastor, neighbours, kids, co-workers, enemies, parole officer or your ex to see"

I wish we had more profiles to look thru too. I can understand some people being hesitant. If I were new and was doing research in these forum. I might be leery of meeting some when you hear stories like the ones posted here:

Well, just by looking at Colonel Panic's profile, anyone who knows him and stumbles across this site will know exactly who he is. I mean, Not many people in this area restores these things, and they all know who I am.

Many people don't want others to know where they vacation. many people's job could be at risk if they found out, and I for one don't want the majority of the people in my life finding out where I vacation!

Sometimes, even the most innocent "basic" information can make it quite obvious who someone is.
Panic's screen name is way more vague than mine, though.

I agree with the privacey thing very much....but I will never message or chat with an completly empty profile...just my thoughts... was throwing it out there and to all who added to your profiles thank you hope to message soon...thanks for thoughts on this. Sadly we all have to be careful...

I have often wondered why some people have a registration date of 2006, or older, but have never made a sigle post or added to their profile.

Kind of creepy if you ask me.

for us its a security issue. i personally dont give a damn what people think but the wife has a job where she deals with the public. so out of respect to her we dont put any info. up. honestly im lucky to have a wife cool enough to go to a place like hedo so im not gonna push my luck. if we chat with you and find that your going the same week as us and she gives the green light then we will send a pic.

We prefer some info on the profile also just to get a better idea of the people you are chatting with,however we also agree with using caution just in case,we seldom reply to those without any profile info
