How Does Hedonism Differ From Desire Resort?

A fellow board member mentioned Desire Resort as an alternative to Hedonism. What is the difference? I checked out the Desire website and they flat out prohibit any PDA. Not sure that is a written but unenforced rule or strictly enforced there. Having the public PDA for me is a big part of the attraction.

I was not able to find a Desire webiste similar to this and Hedonism seems to have a much bigger following (there must be a reason for that obviously). When I started looking into this a few days ago, Hedonism was the only resort of this type I was even vaguely aware of.

Can anyone share some insight? Thanks.

we where there a couple of months ago. if you go with a group takeover the rules are not as strict. in the hottub area anything goes. the hottub is huge and very nice. the also have 4-5 outdoor beds in the hottub area. do not know what its like there without a group. we are going to hedo one more time for a comparision this june and will decide from there.

as far as general diff. in the two i will give you our opinion on the two.
the disco is nicer at desire. with many couches to sit.
the hottub blows h3 away.
desire doesnt allow any singles
h3 the food is better with more variety
desires rooms are up to date and very nice
people get into the themes at h3 where at desire not so much
more energy and people at h3
h3 is larger and more than one pool
desire is like 15min from the airport
the mosquitos at desire will suck you dry at night if you dont wear off
beach is better at desire but you get alot of gawkers

Both resorts have their vibes, but Desire's service people are all unionized, so you see a difference there, even though last November, H3 , the service was better than I can remember in other years.Desire's has a backroom in the disco and the rooftop bar/jacuzzi area has beds everywhere. During the day not so much PDA except at contests around pool. The outside restaurant/bar serves great food and drinks and very convenient unlike H2 and H3 choices. When certain groups are there, they do get into the themes and that makes it alot of fun..Yeah, since many new fancy hotels have sprung up up and down the beach, there are more families walking by. Someone should tell the parents to read the signs posted or maybe they can't read English, but it is a quick way to learn about the nudity and the "birds and bees" !The resort is what you make of it, we have seen PDA by the ocean and pool, it just depends again, on what group is there at the time.

sandup which group did you go with? we are always looking for a fun group to go with. this next trip to h3 will decide for us which is the best fit.

We were there last summer when a group "DesirousParty" from Houston was there and they got into the themes, etc.. Every May to October, there are many lifestyle groups that go there. Check out the different lifestyle travel agent sites that list group takeovers. Good Luck!

This year we are going to both resorts different times of the year, as I say, there are good things to be enjoyed at each.. D will be in June and H3 , we will be 1st week of Nov. when Wild Women and Kink of the Caribbean, also Pole Dancers couple nights at the end of our stay.

yes! we also bring the Off spray for those Mexican mosquitoes , but there is usually a breeze on the rooftop at night!And they are still spraying the trees outside the rooms!

we have been to Desire twice...never been to Hedo...Plenty of PDA'S and PDS'S at hot tub and beds beside hot tub....On some nights the play room at the disco is a free for all,whole room surrounded with beds with lots of playing and intermingling.. pornos on TV at all times....if enter the room and are not engaging in play with your partner or others you will be asked to leave....can't just sit and watch Sex on the beach beds is frowned upon, because of the large number of walk bys

My wife and i have been going to H3 for the last couple of years. We have been talking about going to desires next trip. But we are still undecided on if we want to go and try it?

We did Desire in 2007 with the desioursparty and prior to that H3 twice in 2005 (no group). First thing no swim up bar at Desire's main pool, unless they added one since but they do have a server to attend to your needs. Tips are also welcome at desire.

Rooftop jacuzzi (with swim up bar) and shower at desire is great! Beds everywhere to chill at Desire and the disco/play room make H3 look silly.

Standard rooms at Desire are not that hot but they do have a fridge with beverages and cold beers!

Resort at H3 is much larger and easy to hide if you want too. (but who wants to do that) H3's quad pool is extremely large and both the nude pool and quad pool have swim up bar's perfect for body shots of rum cream!

IMO Desire for some nude romance and H3 for some nude fun!

Either way you can't go wrong with either place.

Oh forgot to add, Desire is a couples only resort where at Hedo you might run into a Vinnie or two.
