    Air Jamaica "classes"

So the last time we flew, we had Lovebird Economy class. WTF is with all these new classes?

    Super Discount Economy
    Discount LoveBird Economy
    Lovebird Economy
    Discount LoveBird Executive
    LoveBird Executive

super discount is like $270 RT for us...does that mean we have to hang onto the tail or the wheels or be put in baggage like a dog in a kennel?

I mean, they're gonna dump a drink on me anyhow, so i might as well save some money.

It's still just two seating classes but I think the "gimmic" is there are only so many "economy" seats sold at the super discount price...then more at the discount...then when all those are sold you pay full economy price.

Not sure but that's been my presumption as some sold out closer to the dates of the trip. There are definitely only two types of seats once you get on board...economy and executive.

As it was explained to me...

They have a limited number of seats for the super discount - these fares usually have VERY heavy restrictions on them. They are non-refundable, non-upgradable, etc. We bought them one year and couldn't upgrade to executive class at the airport because of it.

Those seat usually sell out quicker than the more expensive.

The Lovebird Economy is full fare, changeable, refundable, etc.

They really do give you regular seats and you are not required to be put in a cage in baggage.
