Keeping in Touch

We want to keep in touch with our parents while we are away. Does Hedo II sell calling cards? How do people at Hedo II keep in touch with their folks in the states?

How much keep in touch? We just used our cell phones, nothing special required, but it was close to $2 a minute. (Verizon)

Cell phones. We have verizon and just made sure to stop by one of their stores to verify we had international plan and would get reception etc in JA. Works like a charm.

actually my sweety did use her cell phone to call the little ones......my phone didnt come in at hedo3 and i never tried to use it at hedo2....it was nextel/sprint... other carriers do have international plans that will lower the rates. most of the time you can add the plan on then cancel it when you get home.i got a good rate on a calling card the previous trips....

I have Verizon, and I have used texting or even facebook before to save some money. You should always update your roam feature before you leave the States also. Verizon is *228
