    Question Best Deals?

Hi all, It's been a while

We're ready to book our 4th trip (for the end of May) and are wondering if there are any smoking deals out there? We have always simply booked through our TA, but searching this site a few weeks ago turned up some claimed sale prices (such as ~$114 PP, pool view) that were significantly better than our last quotes. Perhaps it's time to do a little more research...

Anybody know what is the best deal going right now? For comparison, we are looking for the cheapest (Pool View) category.

    Thanks!
    Mikey and Diane

That was the American Express Vacations sale, not a bad one, the best that has been out there so far this year. SC just extended their current sale through March 3, most T/A's will have access to that sale for you.

Current pricing is running about $170-180 PP, PN... Compared to $114... feels like Superclubs is giving us the big

    Ouch!

    Hoping for better.

It always depends on when you are going...various dates are more expensive than others.

Mary, we miss you by about 3 weeks. Any idea when the seasonal rates apply? Seems mid April is still a better deal than we've seen for end of May...

I don't know all of the weeks..it's off and on. I know that our week is $147 pp/pn (for pool view) plus if you CALL Castaways you save an additional $10 per night but still get the SC sale price!!!

Two weeks ago they had a special "Wholesalers" rate of $127 per night but that was only for 6 days or something...not sure if you also got the additional $10 to bring tht down to $117 or not though. THat may have been some of the pricing you heard about before.

Wow! $147 is better than our quote. Maybe it's our week, maybe it's our TA.... Perhaps I'll contact Castaways and see what they can do for our week. Thanks for the info.

Desert Dwellers...call Castaways on Monday or submit a price quote request and they can call or email you back:

    http://castawaystravel.com/quotes/qu...y-apr10-h3.htm

We'd love to have you join us. We hve a fantastic group buildling and chatting online already on our message board.

Hi Jay...you should call too. I just checked Expedia and the rates are $180 pp/pn there too for pool view.

Pool view through Castaways should be the SC rate of $147 - $10 so $137 pp/pn if you call to book or use the link above for an online quote request.

    Thank you Mary,

We've been wanting to meet you for years, but this year we are already spoken for. That's the problem (if you can call it that) with this community... So many people, so little time...

We did submit a travel quote through Castaways... Fingers crossed!

OK, the results are in... Apparently we have simply picked an expensive time of year to travel. All quotes are within a couple bucks of each other.

    Oh well, it's only money...

    Thanks all, for your help!

OK, broke the code a little bit. We were booking 4 nights because we had a comp voucher for 3 that we were going to combine into a week's stay. Turns out there is a significant price break at the 5 nights and longer paid. The botom line is that it cost only $37 more (total) to book the fifth night... So we're doing 8 nights instead of the week! Best deal going!

The air fare is a different story though...

Hedonismresort.com has many days of $240 pc/pn and some $320 pc/pn in the Fall. This is not the same "Save $570" offer that expires March 3, 2010 for travel thru August 31, 2010 which does require 5 nights at $278 per couple per night. Usually I see the pricing from Hedonismresort.com and Superclubs.com reflected in quotes from TAs. Groups will sometimes beat these prices by a little bit.
