My doctor knows where were headed. I said were going to Jamaica...he said which resort? Hedo of course! He said he met his wife there

I didn't read ALL the posts but I would suggest focusing more on INCHES than WEIGHT! Muscle weighs more than fat and if you are doing light weights as apposed to not having done them at all before..... you may be losing INCHES before WEIGHT!

I was at a standstill and annoyed after the 3rd wk because like many, I'm trying to drop some pounds before my July trip. I dropped 6lbs in 3 wks then stopped. BUT I noticed I lost a total of like 4 inches. Measure yourself around your chest, waist, thigh, arm (and I do hips but I dont think a guy really needs to lol).

You'd be amazed at the difference just cutting soda and juice with do for you. I started doing Advocare which was pricey, (like $270 for the 1st month), but I noticed a HUGE difference with the SPARK drinks. they give me a good energy boost and keep me ALERT more than anything.

My sister in law lost a LOG of weight (like 30lbs I think in 2 months) with the special K diet before she went to boot camp. She said it really worked. The shakes are SO GOOD and so are the cereals and the bars!

I have 18 wks before my hubby returns from Iraq..... and I want to lose 2lbs a wk which by far is NOT an unreachable goal. So I'm trying. But I think I will bring up a little wager myself and make HIM wear something if I get to my goal weight! lol

Only other thing I would suggest to people is not to drop a ton of weight like 100lbs in 6-8months. I have a friend that did that and her result was so much LOOSE SKIN. She actually looked better at a bigger weight than she does now

I was looking for a diet where I don't have to exercise, and well.....can't find one LOL

I gotta tell you. I'm 5 or 10 lbs from my weight
when I got married, and I do owe it to the desire
to look my best at hedonism.

Hell, my doctor even congratulated me, I just
didn't elaborate on my motivations to him!

HEDO HAS CHANGED MY LIFE! (and we haven't
    even gotten there yet)
Keep fighting the good fight brother. Hedo is among the best motivators that we can think of to stick with a good regiment - Our mantra when we're staring down that last mile on the elliptical is "Naked on a beach - Naked on a beach - Naked on a beach" (watching porn while working out helps wonders in this regard ).

The kick in the pants is this - when you get there, you're going to realize that the way that people look is nowhere near as important as how people act. From past trips we saw perfect hardbodies who were completely aloof / pretentious and ended up spending most of their time alone on the prude side. The vast majority of Hedonites have slightly less than 'perfect' bodies, but they're the folks who were outgoing, non-judgmental, and fun to be with. After a day or two in the pool, you stop noticing physical imperfections and start to notice "damn, those two are always as friendly as can be and always listen when I've got something to say". Needless to say, those are the types of people that we can't wait to see every year when we go Home.

Hedo changed our lives too - Most people on this board can probably attest the same. We greatly appreciate that Hedo motivated us to get into a healthier lifestyle (among other lifestyles ), but at this point we're exercising / eating well because of how it makes us feel the other 51 weeks a year that we're on this world.

We know that looks aren't a huge deal at Hedo, but they are to us
    after 11 years of marriage.

Kids and work took us out of our good habits and gave us some bad
ones, and with a couple of months of work, we're looking at around
60lbs lost and we're near our marriage weight.

We have more to go, but I guess we should have started sooner!

Either way, we have 15 and 5 lbs to go, and 21 days to do it.

In 21 days we will be on our way to the resort at 1250pm.

See everyone on the beach (isn't it C/O now?)

Whether you hit it or not before your trip, congrats on doing so well to this point. You've got about the same goals as I do. I need to step it up!

One of the reasons I want to go to Hedo is to find my self confidence. I am one of those people who turned to a gastric bypass after YEARS of trying everything. I weighed almost 300lbs in December 2006. I now weigh 139lbs.

I want to feel sexy and be sexy, which is something I haven't ever experienced in my life. I want to be able to shuck my sarong and walk into the pool with my head held high and not be wanting to find the nearest exit...

I am so glad everyone is so reassuring about body sterotypes and non judgement.

I hope you all have a FANTASTIC time!

Hedo is great motivation but I have to be honest when I say that self confidence is really sexy. Congrats on losing the weight, hang tough, but just have fun. We all want to look great but it is 70% above the neck and 30% below. We will be there March 19-24 so see you there!!

I've been wanting to get to my "pre-kid" weight for a long time. This is motivation. MORE motivation comes from if I WIN and DO lose 30lbs by July 21st, I get to pick my hubby's outfit for a theme night of my choice. Hubby doesn't do the dressups. LOL. So for me.... I'm IN IT TO WIN IT! LOL
