Welcome to our trip report for our 6th visit
October 2009
Travel: Travel was a breeze. No problems getting to the resort or getting a good room in the H block. The road to Negril had a few issues but nothing to cause a problem.
Service: Service was good overall. The maids do a good job of cleaning the room and the wait staff serviced us with a smile. The bartenders made sure we came back with liver in need of rest.
EC's: Ec's were there but seemed to lack some typical energy (good for the ears anyway). Mostly just saw them at dinner time with the different shows.
Amenities: Gym was clean, pools looked great, hot tub was fine. We did have a few of us that wanted to shoot hoops and it was hard to find a ball that worked. Once we did find a ball (took 20 mins) we had to have it inflated to shoot, then it'd die within 30 mins from an apparent slow leak. But who goes to Hedo to play with balls anyway? Wait, bad question.
Wake up calls: This is one problem. We didn't have an alarm clock in our room so we'd call in for wake up calls but the first 3 never came at all. On our last day I pleaded with the operator to really really make sure they'd do it so we wouldn't miss our plane. Not sure what the problem was.
Room: When we first got there our room AC leaked and the toilet was dripping water everywhere. We called for maintenance and they did fix the leak but didn't do anything about the AC. Our room had a ton of water mixed with feet stains from the problem and the maintenance man said he'd called for housekeeping which never came to clean it up. Our iron leaked water too so we just used it dry on a board that wouldn't stand up on it's legs so you'd have to do it on the ground. Housekeeping said they'd replace it but they never did. But honestly, it didn't slow us down.
Security: They had to escort out a few guys from the disco who were too aggressive, but they did take care of it well. Also some guest were breaking into a number of rooms and stealing items, they figured it out in a few days and got the guy thankfully. Our room was safe, maybe he was afraid of slipping in the water.
Music: The music was awesome this trip especially at Delroy's. Everyone has their own tastes and this year the music was better for us. If I'd heard "stroking" or "candylicker" one more time I'd swim to Cuba.
Tips: We'd suggest you bring a waterproof camera, they have a cool one on my blog for $140 that's a 10 meg, quality sunscreen, a few pairs of shades, a pre-decorated mug from home, nice beach towels you can identify as your own and lots of $1's and $5's for the travel to and from Hedo.
SEX! Ok ok ok, why don't you all just admit you want to hear about the sex!?!?! This IS Hedo! The sex was flowing on our trip. Lot's of daytime oral sex, night time ALL sex and even two sexy women making out and getting "manual" with each other in the main dining room during the dinner show! Talk about a show. We didn't get approached TOO much by single guys and the "ladies of the night" were well behaved. So if you want a sexy time, Hedo is THE place to be. :-D
------------------------------
As a side note we also spent time over at the Grand Lido/Breezes where we got married! So it was nice getting to spend time at both resorts. But if you want our better pick of the two, GO TO HEDO!!!
Hedo is all about the people, the good times, the party and vibe. It's the "cool" place to be and Grand Lido/Breezes is nice yet more like an older Cadalic showing signs of use. Slow, boring, older, not as sexy.
Thank you,
Chad and Norma
