Thinking about a trip this October. Our usual visit is in January but my DIF is unbelievable. Can anyone tell me if October is a good time to go? If not can you suggest another month that is good.

We went to hedo 3 in late october 2008 and it was great. our travel agent said we were on the end of the hurricane season but we had no problems and weather was great except for the daily afternoon rain which didnt last long.

Check out Nov for the Lovevoodo fest. It is always sold out and a ball!

We always go to H2 in October (mid-month) for our anniversary and have had great weather and good crowd. But I guess it depends on what you are looking for. We prefer the 40-70% occupancy rates, not like it is when large lifestyle groups are there. Experienced that once, shortage of chairs and everyone seemed to know everyone else there; was a bit difficult if not part of the "group." Then again, could just be us - we were a bit shier back then...lol

Keep in mind Oct 31st is Halloween and Nov. 1st is anniversary...both are big big deals at H2! Long time repeaters, place is usually packed & lots of fun going on, skits, free night giveaways, costumes, room decorating, etc. It's a busy time. Also hurricane season...but usually nice...but you take your chances in October to be sure. Rains more than the winter months...usually just afternoon showers...but you can't predict the weather.

Afternoon showers are fine...good for "naps!" Just don't want any hurricanes! We're thinking earlier in the month, due to conflicts at home.

We have no clue when it is good or bad time. There is one thing we do know, we are strong planning to be at the Hedo II sept 7-13.2010...What about? Is it good to be there as first time going to Hedo and Jamaica? thanks

Well, other than that week being about the worst historically for hurricanes, we've had fun when we're there at that time. Please fall travelers, keep in mind that September & October are peak hurricane times....so it WILL rain while you're there. That being said, we've always had fun in Sept, Oct and November especially. It is unbelievably humid too!

We we're at H3 last Oct for my birthday (10.16) and it was beautiful weather, did rain alittle the day we left but it didn't seem to last too long...... GO ENJOY!!!

we were in jamaica last year from 9/9 - 9/22- the first half we spend at h3 and we never saw a drop of rain but the second half we spent in negril (h2 area) and pretty much every day @ 2 there were big rain storms most days it cleared up within 2-3 hours and in all there was only 1 day it rained most of the afternoon and evening - i believe i was told that the afternoon storms were common that time of year on that side of the island.
