Bus vs. private car

What are the veterans' opinions on mode of transportation to get from the airport to HIII once we land in MB?

Take the bus and start partying. Why worry about driving, possibly getting into a wreck"everyone drives like a bat out of hell." The bus drivers are as nice as they can possibly be and they will make stops at bars for you to drink. Last but not least god forbid you get a DUI!!!

We go on the bus and it is a BLAST but there are usually a few from our group on with us so that makes it even better. We load up a small cooler with beer and have a pre-hedo party. It is also fun to see the "prudes" faces when you mention Hedo.
On the way back to the airport kind of sucks. You are the first to be picked up and have to stop at other resorts to pick people up.
See if you can find peeps on here that are going when you are and maybe you can catch the same bus.

We also agree with the bus, yes it may take a bit longer but on almost every trip there were other people on the bus going to hedo...what a great way to meet new friends.

We have also gotten a kick out of some of the reactions of no hedo people.....they looked at us like we had the plauge...lol

Bus......... You may get to Hedo 15-20 minutes earlier by private taxi. Free vs. $60 makes it a no brainer for us.

Up until our last trip, August 2009, we always took the bus, in 2009 we took a cab which we shared with 2 single ladies and a single gentleman from our group, we are now spoiled. We are going to factor in the cost of the taxi each trip now.

We've only ever taken the bus, and if we did take a cab, it wouldn't be just any one at the airport. we'd go through the superclubs desk and have them recommend one. we've only ever left hedo once to go on one of the tours, and the cab driver that is part of the company the resort uses was excellent. very polite, professional, a great driver, got there efficiently but never once feared for our lives.

We vote for the bus! Its great watching the Breezes and Superclubs people try to figure out who is going to "that place". Of course at one time we were those people, not anymore!

OK, we normally take the bus but the last time was a nightmare. It was almost 2 hours to get "home". We are considering taking a cab next time but like everything with Hedo it all depends on the crowd!!

We have always taken the bus - our first trip took awhile because of major road construction and there was an accident....would've taken a taxi longer too....We too like to see the reactions of the 'non-hedo' people on the bus - we spend the first several minutes guessing who is and who isn't hedo peeps - last trip pretty much the entire bus was hedo (never would've guessed it..)
