Depends on what you want to buy ? Probably a bit too much. You can go the whole week without spending a dime. Just bring enough to get you through the airports, food ,drink ,ect. I always get liquor at the airport on my return, but other than a few tips here or there, bring 1's,5's,10's for tipping.

I have traveled single, taken no more than $200 in cash to handle incidentals as noted above and always came home with change and a HUGE smile!

We usually bring $300. Enough for travel days, and buying miscellaneous stuff while we are there. We usually don't use most of it unless we buy something "big". For everything else, we just use a credit card so that we don't have to carry so much cash.

We usually bring $500 in cash and make sure there's $1000 available on cards. We usually spend less than $300 but wouldn't want being short a few bucks to stop the fun whatever we decide to do.

We bring $1,000.00 but never break out the credit cards. We use the cash for excursions, phone and any gifts we want to bring back. We always have cash left when we get back home, but are prepared in case.

For me at least it isn't about how much we WILL spend, more just knowing we can do anything we decide on a moments notice without having to worry about budgeting for any reason.
I we suddenly decide to go on the booze cruise, it won;t effect our plan to go to the falls.. (just example).

We usually bring about 750 and a credit card for a 7-8 day trip.

Some years we have spent less than 100 on some stuff for the kids at the airport, rum cream, and tips to the bus driver to and from the airport. Other years we have went out to dinner (like at ricks), went shopping in negril, and did the cat cruise. Those trips we have spent 500-600. We would rather have a bit too much cash than not enought.

The credit card is for emergencys. We did have to call a Dr on one trip and that was $200 for a minor injury (stiches).

Another consideration is some of the products that are available under the table at the resort (that was a nice way to say drugs...lol)

We have never bought anything but others do, depending on your plans you may want to add some cash to purchase your happy stuff. We really do not know the cost of the differnt stuff (ganja, coke, x, shrooms, Jenny' brownies, etc) maybe sombody could tell about those costs.

Ok so here is a general outline that we use:100$(1$ 5$ 10$) for tipping this gets us to and from the resort and some at the resort.5$ per day +small gift (chocolate or hygene stuff like tooth brushes and paste)for the maid.200$ for a day trip to Ocho Rios(shoping or excursion, about 200$ for souveners (depends on how many you want to buy for)We always stash a couple of bottles of rum in our luggage and buy our limite at the airport so maybe another 100$We always have debit card and credit card on hand but never had to use them.
PS does anyone know what size Serena would wear and if she has kids and if so what age they are .She liked the wifes Lou Lou Lemons so we thought we might bring her some
