excursions - best to book at Hedo?

When we cruise we usually book private excursions since they cost much less than the cruise ships'.

Has anyone done this from Hedo?

In my experience, Hedo is the best place to spend the vast majority of your time while in Negril. We've taken a taxi to Rick's Cafe, downtown Negril, Selina's (for Blue Mtn. coffee,) & Times Sq. for trinkets, but these hours away from Hedo are not as enjoyable as staying on property. Flying into Negril with TimAir is enjoyable ($100 ea.), as you get the bird's eye view of Hedo, which sits just off the flight path when landing. These are little Cessna aircraft, so if small planes bother you, skip it and take the free van ride.

As Caughtyoulooking said Timair is a great, and reasonably priced, way to get to Hedo, the views are great and you may even get the chance to fly it! Other than that we have never organised any excursions other than a Taxi to Rick's but we did that from Hedo with another couple and it wasn't much. We also do the nude catamaran over to Rick's as well, but again that is organised through Hedo.

When we were there in May, Rick's cafe had some kind of free shuttle to and from a couple of resorts including Hedo II. We didn't know about it till we went there by taxi and saw the sign. Not sure if they're still offering it or what the schedule is but it might be worth looking into.

Just curious as to what some of the better outings are. We have done the Dolphins Cove thing, Dunn Falls. We plan to do the Thursday night nude cruise. What other great adventures are outside of the resort?

Last April we did the zip line tour.It was awsome,The landscape is pretty rugged and a lot of stairs,so if your not fit or have bad Knees this might not be the best activity for you!

Efairfie - YS Falls is superb at ~2 hours away. Mayfield Falls is widely rumored to be great (it's on our to do list). Doing a snorkel trip with some boat guy is a must do IMHO, as is walking the beach and chatting with the local folks. Going to the Office of Nature on Bloody Bay is fun too, as is seeing Sexy Rexy for a beverage - between the LTU Pub and the lighthouse.
