Well now. We've been home for a couple of weeks or so and I think our livers are properly detox'd! All I can say is WOW!
Here's a brief summary of our week there in no particular order.
Day one.
Arrived to find our room wasn't what we booked. One quick trip to the front desk and all was well. Ocean front nude side. We got in on a Friday afternoon, so after all the room shuffle it was dinner time. After dinner, we did a recon of the nude side and found where things were located.
Into the pool and hot tub for an evening soak. Few drinks from the bar there and then off to bed.
Day Two, Saturday:
Up early to stake out a place at the pool. Off to the buffet for some breakfast, back to the room, naked to the pool!!
Spent the first day at the nude pool, played volley ball, had some of Johnny's famous nacho's and burgers! That man is a legend! What a nice man too. I had the chance to chat him up a couple of times.
Dinner all week consisted of Pastafari. The resort was only at 24% occupancy, so they didn't open the buffet for dinner. That's fine, the food was GREAT!!
Day Two:
The EC's are some of the most fabulous folks around! The games they organized were fun, and we had a blast.
Note to self: Drunken Naked Pirate Olympics are the BEST games EVER!!!!
Day Three thru Seven:
Repeat the above! Breakfast. Get naked. Go to the nude pool. Nap in the afternoon. Dinner. Naked. Hot tub.
Games were organized most days, I even won a contest for the most tattoos!!
One afternoon (I forget which) our EC gathered up about a dozen of us and we stormed the prude side. We went down the water slide. This was one of the most fun days there.
We met some really nice people there that week. D and N from Canada, if you read this email us!!
One afternoon we took the glass bottom boat trip. Nice! Interesting. The boat captain was most entertaining. We teased him by suggesting we go by the nude beach, but all the folks from the nude side were already on the boat!!! This was due to the low occupancy rate. I've been told by friends in the travel business that September is a low occupancy time in the Caribbean.
A couple of notes and comments.....
If you are contemplating going to a nude resort........ GO!!
My wife is no prude, we are constantly naked in our yard and pool. But, she didn't know what to expect at Hedo III. She didn't really want to be talking to other people or hanging out with folks...... until she got there! She was the one who was the "Chatty Patty!" It's usually me! Our second day there she informed me that we are returning to Hedo III in March 2010! She can not WAIT to get back.
Evenings in the nude pool/hot tub area were........... interesting to say the least! Yes we saw PDA's, and PDP's. But they were mostly quite discrete. Yes, you knew what was happening, but it wasn't a porn movie either. We're not swappers or swingers, but everyone was most respectful. We were invited to join in one game one night but declined. There was no pressure, and no one felt obligated one way or another.
All in all, I have to give Hedo III a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. We loved it there, the people were super, the resort was clean, our room was clean and fresh. The food was 5 star, the EC's were the BEST!!!
I do have to give a warning to all who may go after us....... STAY AWAY FROM SARINA AT THE NUDE POOL BAR!!! She's MINE!!! Hahahahah!! Man o man can she make a mean rum runner!!!!!!
