Desire is in Riviera Maya just south of Cancun. It is a clothing optional resort that is lifestyle friendly. The only place in the resort you may not be nude in is the lobby.
Although public sex is not allowed in Mexico, which mean no sex on the beach, they do provide you with many on premise areas to play. The disco even has a party room with plenty of mattresses to satisfy any who venture in. The roof top bar and hot tub has 4 beds, with those sheer side panels, off to the side for your enjoyment as well.
Thought it would be a good idea to check out other places so we went there last year. We prefer Hedo III and yet others prefer Desire. There is a place for everyone.

April 2013 - Back to "N" Resort
We will be trying Desire for the first time on the 18th of this month. We were going to go back to Hedo II but the airfare to Cancun was half the cost. We got involved with a group that week that seems to have a lot of lifestyle couples. We are looking forward to a very fun time.

Islander, thanks for the report, Joe let us know your opinion when you get back.
We have been to H3 I think 5 times which is not as much as some but not newbie. Of course we like it or we wouldn't have gone back. However we'd also like to visit some diffrent places if they exist along the same lines.
We almost went to H2 this time but wanted to see Kink Week again. So H2 was on the list and now Desire too.

Desire is couples only and that does make for a different kind of atmosphere.
Well, Ellen & I are back from a week at Desire. Will we go back? Most definitely! Will we go back to Hedo II? Of course! Like Hedo, the atmosphere is dependent on the crowd. We loved the people in the group that we joined but things really got heated and steamy 2 days before we left when new people started coming in.
The room we had (Passion Suite) was much nicer than any room we had at Hedo. The towels provided were better than most hotel towels and there were more than enough. There are no towel cards and the pool/beach towels are HUGE. I do believe that the food was better at Desire than it ever has been at Hedo. The hot tub can be a pain in the ass being upstairs. The stairs get very slipper when wet. The hot tub does have a swim up bar (walk up?) but it would be too small for a packed resort. The pool, on the other hand, does not have a swim up bar.
We like the beach at Hedo II better than Desire, but Desire does have the beach beds.
Any questions on specific things, just ask.

Well, Desire has better food, nicer rooms than ll as nice as lll. better service. the beach is comparable to ll. Both Hedos are biger. THE ATMOSPHERE IS SO MUCH BETTER AT HEDO!! screw the rest. Hedo has such a varity of people, nudes, prudes, swingers, singles, couples most looking to party as well as have sex. At Desire at least the week we went there were two types for the most part couples that kept to themselves and swingers with only one agenda. I'll stick with Hedo! Tony
We enjoyed Desire, and noticed the same things you did, HedoJoe. But we also noticed the same things TonyAnna did. Comparing quality of the resorts, Desire wins - but you also pay a bit of a premium for that. Comparing the ease of making good friends and having a relaxing good time, Hedo wins. Speaking in a very broad sense, Desire seemed to attract a crowd of folks that either stayed to themselves, or stayed in cliques. Hedo seems to attract outgoing and fun-loving folks. Obviously there were exceptions to that for both resorts. I can't say one is better then the other. Each resort just seems to fit a certain niche group.
We have been to Hedo several times (He to both II and II several times and she only to III a couple of times). We were thinking about trying Desire later this year and I just wanted to get some more input from our Hedo friends on what Desire is like. We are not Lifestylers but we really like Hedo and we will certainly be back. Any input would be appreciated.
PS - I have read that the play room is being renovated, any idea when it is supposed to be completed?
We have been to Hedo II together twice and he has been there an additional 5 times or so as well as Hedo III. Last year we did both Hedo II and Desire. Desire is a little more upscale with nicer rooms. some rooms have 4 person hot tubs IN the room. Food at Desire was, in our opinion, better than it is at Hedo. Although we enjoy both properties and will be back to Hedo in July, we are also trying to go back to Desire in October. If we had to pick one and only one to go to it would be Hedo II because of the people and the atmosphere.
The disco and adjoining playroom are completed. We have seen pictures and it is fantastic! It makes the disco at Hedo look like the slums!

Thank you for your input Hedojo
We just got back from HIII and are headed to desire in August. We have done HII twice HIII twice and August will be 2nd time at desire. Gotta experience them all to form an opinion. We had the most fun meeting people at HII, but quality there seems to be way downhill these days. At least when we were there. HIII better quality, but no beach on nude side and small nude hottub. Desire is top notch in rms and food, but no swim up bar in pool. Sylvia does a great job serving drinks poolside. We would go back to all of them. Just remember most times the people you meet make the experience. We had good luck with this at HII both times when there wasn't a group there, but never met a bad group either. Whatever you chose, you can't go wrong. Its a vacation with nude fun in the sun!
Thanks for the input. We are going to Desire in lat July and will see how it compares to H3.
We've been talking about trying out Desire, possibly in the fall. However, I'm a bit concerned about it because I've heard/read that if you are not in the Lifestyle and/or not interested in playing, people tend to be a bit standoffish and relatively unfriendly, unlike the Hedo's where the vibe is more about people meeting, talking, having fun, hanging out, and socializing than hooking up.
For those who have been to both Desire and either of the Hedos, did you find that to be the case- were people at Desire more "agenda-oriented?" Did you find that the vibe was less friendly/open/accepting or fun?
Thanks!
We go to desire in 4 weeks.
Friends that went in January, said just the opposite. The Desire groups we belong to are about 50% Lifestyle / 50% happy nudists (or trying to figure out what side they belong.
We'll see.
