    Money Question (First time)

Hi, I know this has probably been answered somewhere but I couldn't find anything and I'm leaving tomorrow (Yay!!) Although it's an all inclusive trip I know we should have some cash (small bills) for gifts etc. Does anyone know what would be a good amount of cash to have? What kind of stuff will I be buying souvenir wise, what kind of cool stuff can I get? What are the prices for stuff like?

What are the best things you have brought home from you trips (besides no tan lines )

    Thanks for any info.

    2 more sleeps!!!!

It really depends on what kinds of things you like. If you are buying stuff on the resort to take home, I would recommend only buying the Hedo specific souvenirs there, shirts, hats...etc...If you decide you want to purchase coffee, spices, seasonings or alcohol, we found them all to be cheaper at Sangsters International Airport. If local crafts are your gig, they do have vendors on the resort as well.

    Have fun...

We always end up buying some things from the vendors on the patio. Anything from beaded jewelry to artwork. I tend to bring about $200 cash specifically for that stuff. Some trips I'll spend $10, some I'll spend it all. Just depends on what catches Elle's eye. Fortunately, duty free takes plastic since things in there really catch her eye.

lol Good to hear on the plastic I'm sure there will be a fair share of eye catching things to browse through. I was thinking just a few hundred dollars for vendor goodies. Thanks for your help.

We were there in March and I spent about $200 cash at the patio venders. Alot of really cool jewelry and purses. At the gift shop I probably spent 200. But I used my debt card. There is no ATM at the resort you have to go to Breezes or into town. Make sure you bring 1s and 5s for tipping the bus driver and luggage handeler. Go and have a great time and post a trip report so we can all be in

I'm not sure whether this posting refers to H2 or H3, but there is an ATM at H2 in the "so-called" casino.

I usually bring about $300 cash.Bring 1's,5's,10's. Most times they may not have change. Most stuff I get is at the airport on the way home,(Appleton 12yr old rum ).Although a necklace or two or a shotglass and T-shirt.That's about it for me.
