    Changes at the Reggae Cafe

During our trip, I believe as of August 7th, the resort has made changes to the way they serve you. To me it is a lot better since most know the main problem there is the slow service. They still have a waitress over there to get drinks and pour water. However, now instead of giving the waitress the order, you now go up to the grill cook and give him the order and then go and sit down. So this is very similar to how you give John the orders at the nude pool. We had our order in less than 5 minutes instead of the one hour possible wait. Please post any updates to this or any other feedback after you return, if you had any good or bad experiences with this change.

We also thought this was a good idea, the only thing they could do, and I recommended this to Lance, have menus available other than the one chalk board. We also recommended that they have an..."Order Here" sign and a "Pick Up" here sign, just to let folks know what to do since some of us have gotten used to the sitting and waiting routine.

Sounds great, though I never minded a wait, overlooking the ocean, relaxing, with my sexy wife. Sometimes the wait was a tad long, lol.

lol...you are right, it is a good view for sure and if you are on island time the wait was just part of it...

Sounds like a good idea, but we always had great service (probably my winning personality...or my wife's which is more likely). Like CopnKitten we never minded the wait, your at Hedo, by the ocean and where else to you have to be? Oh ya, the neekid pool!

We made the mistake of "running over there for a quick bite" one day before this came into being- mistake. It opens at 1130 and by 1145 there was still no service so we had to bail as we had to meet a bus. Normally however, to wait a little bit along the rail with the water slapping up on the rocks... well... pretty close to perfect when there is a nice breeze. Damn... DIF again.

In June, we stopped by to have lunch one day, 1st time @ H3 I ask the cook about the menu she said "GO"sit down the waitress would come over to us. Well the food was good. Try the brown stew, yumm.

I agree the wait is not always a bad one when you have a great sunset and the waves are crashing in. From 5pm-7pm, this is the only place to get any food, so the quicker service was sometimes nice. The wait service was pretty slim during our stay, might have been the reason they decided to do this. The resort was very full that week and they were even bringing people over from Breezes to work. The staff was amazing the week we were there. In just one year, I believe the service has got so much better. Just my opinion though. Everyone has their good and bad experiences.
