Hedo III - First trip - July 26-31

So, we went to hedo... lol.

We decided to go to hedo after visiting many sites. We looked at everything from cruises to resorts. We just knew we wanted to do something in the Caribbean. Hedo was just seemed to be the most fun and all inclusive place that fit how we wanted to be.

We were totally not disappointed at all.

    The flight out...

We took a direct Air Jamaica flight out of Chicago. The seats on the plane were cramped, tiny, slightly uncomfortable with us being taller. The plane itself was very clean and the crew friendly. When we landed the cabin filled with the steamy humid cool air - odd to see, but interesting.

    The Airport...

The airport herded us down the stairs and around the tile lined corridor. It was a pretty long walk to customs. We had our customs forms from the plane filled out and our passports in hand. Customs was a breeze. We got our bags that were sitting off to the side waiting after we cleared customs and turned in our form before being outside of the security area. A person asked us what resort we were staying and pointed us to the Superclubs waiting area, basically a seating area and a check-in counter. The superclubs staff gave us a bottle of water each and had a staff member walk us to the bus. It was hot and humid.

    The Bus...

We got on the bus with other superclub resort guests. They were all going to breezes except for us. The bus driver was awesome. The people infront of us wanted pictures of the cops with uzi's on the side of the road. The bus driver told us about what we were seeing and actually stopped twice for us, both by bay's near each other because people on the bus asked to stop to take pictures. It was really cool, and something she didn't need to do. It is OK to tip the bus driver.. we did, because she was great.

    The Resort...

Raymond, helped us with our bags. We got checked in at the desk. Got our room keys and our beach towel coupons and went to our room -915 - beach front. The room was very cold, but felt good. The air conditioner had a remote to it, which was nice. Our beds were pushed together but twins. We asked them to fix it and they did.

    Day 1...

We got out around the resort, ate, took a look around and swam in the quad. We saw the cocktails international names on the windows. We had spoken to them before going but ran out of time and didn't fully get comfortable with them before hand. Seeing their presence though felt comforting. We caught glimpses of people from the forums that looked familiar. We ended up walking to the area behind the nude beach and sat there for a moment contemplating the nude element. We looked for a moment and saw just ordinary people, some supermodel types, some heavy types and everything in between. The same goes for breasts, penis's and butts, every different shape and size well represented. So we stripped by the suspended beds and walked out proudly.

I recall the security staff oodle us for a moment as we walked onto the nude beach, but it was a smile and a wink so we felt comfortable and i felt proud. An older guy I'll call hugh heffner was floating his wife and talked to us. Actually a lot of people talked to us during the trip. Again, very social and warm group of people that go to hedo. We did a lot more that night and had fun dressing up for pimps and ho's night. We had a midnight snack and met a couple (t+s) that we spent a few days talking to. They were from the wild women group.

    Day 2...

Maid service woke us up, knocking at the door at 9am. We forgot to hang the dnd sign on the door. Oops. Learned that lesson. lol Oh well. ate breakfast, we kayaked, we met t & s and by the time we wanted to do the glass bottom boat ride the water was red flagged due to high waves. The water remained red flagged the whole week. I wish they did something about the rocks on the prude side beach, but the beach was still nice.

We went for burgers at the nude beach. The best burgers ever. Also the best scenery ever too. B and D from cocktails was standing waiting for burgers too. B's wife got her water shoes from walmart too and we started talking. We told them who we were and they took us over to meet e & r and d & j from the cocktails group. We ate burgers with them and got to know them a bit. They gave us a welcome gift and we got comfortable with the group. Just a great bunch.

We broke away from them, went to the nude beach for a while and engaged in a bit of pda. Everyone else was doing it there. A bit in one of the entertainment staff paddled in on a kayak and yelled sex on the nude beach. It was hilarious - really stated the obvious. We left a bit later and headed to the room for our planned nap time.

We caught on to two guys that had come to the resort. They looked like friends, only stayed on the prude side or the quad the whole time. They weren't gay because their sun burns were clearly indicating they weren't covering each others backs. We wondered about them. The reason I bring them up was because they didn't seem like they were having much fun at all. They spent the majority of their time drinking at the main bar. We just think that single guys don't get that far at Hedo - especially during couples type event weeks like this really was. Maybe it works at other times, but not now.

We had dinner at the Japanese restaurant. The food there was really good. We did notice a few roaming critters though. The food all over the resort was good though, especially the Jamaican food at ocean front restaurant. We planned to skip pirate night at the disco. Too much to carry to the resort. We hit the nude pool and saw our first public sex acts. From what we saw the activity picks up after 1am. We did our own bit as well after it was cleared by the other couple. If you two read this... Thank you! lol, we weren't sure til we saw it and said, ok its on.

    Day 3...

We got up late, tried for the glass bottom boat again. We met t & s and arranged our excursions. the plan, mystic mountain Wednesday and dunns river falls, Thursday. We did the swimming, nude beach, and ate dinner at pastifari. It was hot in the restaurant but the food was good. We ate dinner with j & s and t & s from wild women. Great people. We went to pajama night at the club and hit the nude pool. The nude pool was a literal orgy in the hot tub. two couples on one side, 3 on the other. We played a bit the tub too. There was a creepy single older guy there that asked to watch ( and he was there multiple nights watching). He was respectful enough, just odd, he asked if we were ok with him watching. We said ok, but it was still odd to have him sitting there watching everyone else.

It was a really late night for us. T & s had told us about finding ants in their bathroom, we noticed some in ours too. It was manageable. Turns out they were attracted to the flower the maid left in the room every day, we threw those outside after figuring that out.

    Day 4...

Mystic mountain was awesome. The gondola ride up to the top of the mountain over looking ocho rios harbor was nice. It was luckily not a cruise ship day (if it was the place would have been packed). It was busy but not much, and no vendors harassing us there. We had heard about it at dinner on Monday from another couple we talked to. Thank you! the place was awesome. We did the bobsled gravity coaster ride several times. We met t & g from our resort on the way out and t & s came along with us as well. We got back to the resort later on, took our nap. Had dinner again in the Japanese restaurant (btw they prepare the meal at the table). t & g joined us late. We went to the disco after we got changed. it was fetish night and totally fun. We felt under dressed... we ended up being totally dressed appropriately in tiny leather outfits. We were in a leather dominatrix outfit and a leather brief, collar and leash.

I tell ya the room key placement was an issue. No pockets. Lesson learned - a lot of people punched a hole in their room key and had a leash to tether it. Some women wore theirs in their hair. After that, the nude pool. We met m & m from cocktails and talked to them along with t & g. The activity was minor at the pool that night but still going on. Mostly nude body shots and a bit of girl on girl. I recall looking over my shoulder and seeing two people at it on the chairs. When we got our things, i nearly interrupted another as we left our things next to where they were going at it. A couple of dressed guys came over. One of the cocktails guys called security over and they were removed. The resort was letting some people over from breezes with day passes but they were declining them thankfully at night and turning them away.

    Day 5...

Seriously watch out at Dunns river falls for the vendors. They say the necklaces are a free thing, but they demand a donation. They just jumped right into the shuttle bus when we got there and overwhelmed t & g and us. They also lie that its the only place to get water. There's plenty of places to get water in the place. After you get through the gates there is one more point where the vendors can snag you. By the water shoe rental. You have to either rent shoes or have water shoes to do the falls. The vendors will literally grab you, say hi, where you from and walk you to the vending area if you're not careful. We just refused everything and anyone that approached us after the first bus incident. The tour is very weirdly done at first. You meet like 3 tour guides so there's a lot going on that you need to remember at first while you're dodging vendors. Mystic mountain is much better. Like Mystic mountain though, the bus driver handles your tickets and gets you in the place.

The tour guide took us down the steps to the beach, and we all held hands. We held hands with t & g and a canadian couple (well we presume, her top had a canadian maple leaf on it.) The climb was fun, but we all got a leg scrape. Watch for under the bridge too, the head hitting risk is high. We had our waterproof camera (canon d10) and it was awesome. The guide takes it from you at a few points and takes your picture. Saved us from buying the picture at the end or the video that they made during it.

We got back to the resort and relaxed. We got a paper under our door later that day that had us confirm our departure flight and it had our checkout time for bags needing to be outside the door for pickup and the time we needed to be on the bus. The nude pool had some girl initiation stuff happening on it but we ignored it. Had dinner at the buffet, and did Toga night at the club. The cocktails group had the foam party. The foam machine had issues but it got going. There was some nudity at the disco but we were tired, exhausted really. We went to the nude pool, socialized a bit, not much was going on and we left.

    Day 6... (last day)

We tried to Kayak, the water was yellow flagged and they weren't allowing them out of the bay. We walked the beach for shells instead. We went to the quad, our last bit of nudity and ran back to the room. the last pack time crunch is rough. We had to make sure the liquids that went back into our suitcases were used before the bags had to be placed outside of the doors. We got lunch and said good bye to some of the people we met. The entertainment crew came up to us and said good bye too.

The bus ride. It was a long 70 minutes. It didn't stop and the driver didn't talk. We had filled 1 of the mugs we brought with us with Ting and had something to drink. The thermal mugs were awesome because the regular drink cups at the resort are like 8 ounce cups. Our mugs were 24 ounce so the bar tenders always filled them up for us with alcohol or whatever we wanted. They also had pepsi vending fountains and sometimes they didn't have cups so carrying mugs paid dividends. Thank you forums for the mug tip!!

    The Airport...

Avoid the bag handlers that meet the bus, we did. It's like a 10 second walk to the check in desks anyhow. Check in at Air Jamaica was a bit confusing, we got into the line and pulled to another line. They checked our bags and gave us our passes. The flight was delayed. We think it had to do with the problems at a US airport (LaGuardia bomb scare maybe). The customs clearing was easy. We had stuck the stub of the customs form we got the day we landed in our passports (had forgotten they were there) and cleared rather quickly. They didn't require the liquids be out of our hand bags at all so the xray was fast.

There's plenty of duty free shopping at the airport. The stuff they sell at the resort is the place to buy the gifts though. the vendors at the resort were different every day, so if you see something get it. Necklaces should be around 7 at the resort, bracelets around 4. You can get your alcohol at the duty free at the airport as well. They give you a carry on box for it with a handle. Also plenty of eating at the airport including a wendys and a domino's pizza. The side American airlines is on is a lot nicer than the side air jamaica is on, and the margaritaville on that side is a lot nicer too.

    The flight home...

It was boring, about 4 hours. Very smooth flight - we slept and talked to a guy from Chicago for a few minutes - he'd stayed at the Riu. Customs did a second xray of our bags before letting us into the country fully. No idea why. They just scanned our bags and said thanks, it was fast, just retarded.

When we were in the cab one of the things i noticed immediately was the position of the moon. I thought about the moon in Jamaica and it looked here. The dreaded island fever has set in (DIF).

We didn't get many peoples contact information, so if we met you and you know who you are, please contact us. We totally want to keep up with everyone.

Oh, we had a rock painted while we were there. It's near our room. There's painted rocks all over the resort. The guy who paints them is there on Monday's by the pool and table tennis tables. its 25 for a large rock and 20 for a smaller rock. We went big. LOL, hard to carry, but we found one from by the side of the piano bar entrance and got it painted.

The rock says " Chicago Loves", our names, and has a turtle kissing a seal. It's light blue and features a beach. Kudos if you find it and take a picture of it for us. It's our claim to Hedo III and our commitment to come back.

    Thank you all!

(A big thank you to everyone on these forums for the info leading up to our trip - the resort staff, the whole cocktails international group and to the members of wild women)

    Love - H & G.

We stole your room? oh no... We really enjoyed the room. Its a really easy to access room, resort location wise.

Did you like the tub as much as I did?
