I wish I could be of more help. You could always try Alfred's....they do a good job (though I don't know of any of their drivers personally). We've known Biggs for years, he may not be doing cab anymore....I'm sure with the economy slow down things are shifting down there a lot.

I appreciate the help, we will give it another shot, just knew I had seen you mention it before in previous posts and it it was good enough for a fellow Hedonite I would give it a shot, keep the money in the family so to speak. If all else fails, I can contact the "official" taxi folks...will let you know if I hear back or not....

Biggs is definitely in the H2 family....we met Biggs through Myron....who used to be the divemaster at H2....man he is one dreamy man...(Myron, not Biggs) Myron was running the dive operation at Point Village after he left H2 and he would come over to see us on the point. I would drool and he would talk scuba with Chris. Damn but I miss Myron since he left PV.

I guess I was just kind of rambling there.....

Here is the lowdown on what we got and the cost..

...on arrival checked into the SC desk, they told us they had been advised we were taking a cab and introduced us to JCAL..paid at the desk and in the cab we went...a small van. The 5 of us paid $100.00, $20 apiece. Stopped once for drinks, our request and to the resort in an hour.

On return, we also took a cab back. Was quoted $100 for 4 people, we added 2 people and they wanted to raise the price to $150, we paid $100 and were at the airport were there in 50 minutes with no stops.

I will pay for the cab from now on out and just factor that expense into my vacation, less stops, less hassles and less time on the road.

We are considering a taxi as well for our end of October trip.

Any specific recommendatioins?
