    Customs and transport

We're leaving for Hedo II this Sunday. Our 2nd trip in as many years.

Last time we got in around noon and Customs was busy but well staffed and only took about 30 minutes. This time we're getting in around 8 PM on a Sunday and were wondering what it might be like then. Anyone have experience getting in later in terms of how busy customs is?

Also - since we're getting in late we were thinking we might just take a private car to H2 instead of waiting for the bus/shuttle since that took an extra 45 min + last time waiting for the van and other passengers. Does anyone have experience booking a private car and any recommendations for the best deal?

We have a friend, Biggs, who does taxi service. His # is 876 410 0536, his price is reasonable and he is dependable. If you call him, please let him know that Chris & Liz told you about him.

I bet customs isn't very busy at 8pm on a Sunday night...but can't say for sure.

    Have a wonderful trip!

Our last trip we got in around 930pm, and the place was dead, everything went quickly. We weren't checking in til the next day and where staying at a local resort 5 min from the airport. Went to the Superclubs desk just to arrange transportation for the next morning, andd they got one of their buses to take us to our overnight accomidations, and came and got us in the am, took about 10 min tops.

Biggs lives near Negril, so you would need to call him a few days b4 to set up. I'm sorry I didn't make it clear that he wasn't located in Mobay.

You'll be fine I'm sure. Have a super fun trip!!!

July 1st arrived at MBJ at 2:15 p.m. LONG..LONG...LONG lines. One hour and fifteen minutes to get through Customs and Immigration. Another 1 Hour and 45 minutes to get to the resort, and that is without stopping. There is a lot of construction going and there were delays both coming and going, so it makes no difference if you take the shuttle or not. If it is included in your trip, you should take it. On the return, we were afraid we were going to miss our flight due to the construction, but it was delayed leaving MBJ, so we were all set. Good luck!!!
