Is Early August a high season?

Hello, my first trip to HEDO II was from DEC 20 to 29, 2008. I think that the amount of people at the hotel a this time was just perfect:

There was enough people to make new friends
You didn't have a hard time looking for a beach chair
or a table for dinner
Or an spot in the hot tub

(I think that a few days later for new year the hotel got a little more crowded.)

I have already pay for my second trip from AUG 1 to 9 (2009), always HEDO II.

So I would like to ask to all of you that have been in august before if the hotel is crowded or empty or should I expect the same amount of people as in december?

The hotel will likely be quite full because the first week of August includes Jamaican Independence Day and a lot of Jamaicans come to H2 for the holiday. You should expect it to be pretty packed.

Last time I went I really liked all the people there. So now that the hotel will be packed with locals maybe the hotel will be completly diferent. Should I be worried? Wich days is the jamaican vacation?

I'd imagine it is the whole week. August 6th is Jamaican Independence Day. We've met some very nice Jamaicans over the years at Hedo and in Negril, but have never been during that time frame.

Our experience with locals is a positive one as well. We are at Hedo 3 every year, well since 2002 on their holiday. We have found that for the most part, the locals do not do the nude thing and limit themselves to the prude side.
