How come there's a prude side?

Are there really people there? Why don't they make the whole place clothing optional?

Yes, people really go there. Why, I have no idea. Last year there was 3 to 4 couple in our group that hung out on the prude side for the most part. Its there vacation and thats what they wanted to do. We they offended by nudity, don't know. But the option of not being around naked people and being at an adults only resort worked for them. Would they have gone if it was clothing optional, not sure, but at Hedo 2 and at Hedo 3, the prude area (pool) is near the dining areas and the main lobbies, perhaps that is why??

Not everyone wants/needs to be naked all the time. The 'prude side' is not for prudes but is topless (not nude). The nude side is NUDE not partly clothed. Some people want/need time to gravitate to totally nude in front of total strangers (many come from a very conservative culture -- the US). Others have personal reasons to 'keep their pants on'. Some view their bodies as less than perfect.

Over many many years we have seen people move from the 'prude' side to the dark side -- and totally enjoy themselves. For some it takes a few minutes -- others take a few days. But that's their problem, not ours.

So, why a pride side? Because it sells rooms and generates profits and returning customers. It's all about commerce and profit -- and nothing else. If you can organize a total resort 'take over' I'm sure all the rooms will suddenly be 'on the nude side' as will the whole length of beach (except that overlooked by neighbors at HIII).

Book us in when that happens.

    I'm with Pete on this

Lots of die hard Hedo goers would have never even booked Hedo if it didn't have a prude side. Many newbies start out on the prude side and eventually wander over to the nude side out of curiosity or boredom. They quickly see that it is liberating and join the fun.

That said I know a handful of regular guests that go to Hedo and stay on the prude side all day. Hedo is what you make of it and its guests are very accepting.

Our first trip was our first time at a c/o resort. Bags dropped, room not ready, within 10 mins we were on the nude side, lol.
