    Pool view?

    Hi,

Does anyone know if "Pool view rooms" always means you end up in the Quad?

I would like to be anywhere but the quad this year, do I have to book at a higher rate?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes poolview is the four buildings around the quad...2nd and third floors (lowest price category), next up the ladder is poolfront...also quad. You would need to step up room category to an Oceanfront room to avoid the quad all together.

Garden view nude (500 block) is the first category out of the quad without paying for ocean view rooms. Best block on the property if you ask me. Centrally located to both the nude side and quad.

    Oohhh ! That's better thanks.

The first year we were upgraded (without asking) to nude oceanview that was a great room. Last year we were in the quad - it was damn noisy. No afternoon naps without earplugs and the barpeople "singing" first thing in the morning (10am) to wake us up got annoying by the third day.

Don't mean to sound grumpy about it, but I am precious about my sleep - better sleep means better partying!

A little off topic but can you request a building and if so when should you do it? I know nothing is ever guaranteed and it depends on how full the resort is but just wondering if they will even consider it.

We got oceanfront and when I was looking at a map of the resort I noticed that if they put us in an oceanfront room in building 900 (according to the map I saw) we may just end up with a view of the Scotch Bonnet.

I am not one to complain so if we end up in one of those rooms its ok with me but since we we paid the extra for oceanfront I would just like a better view to wake up to and have my coffee.

    Thanks

I feel your pain, we were there when the Bliss Club took over the Quad one summer's week. Every other word was obnoxiously loud. Something about "WOOOO" every other second and "JAVI" short for Javier I presume. We actually relocated at 3 or so in the morning. Never looked back.

Oh, another question just occured to me.. I have only ever been in top floor rooms. I don't mind although those stairs are a pain in the arse when your inebriated.

If you're in 1st or 2nd floor rooms can you hear the people above?

Always ask for particular requests when booking with the travel agent then reconfirm when you actually check in at Hedo.

We have been able to hear the people above when on the 1st and 2nd floors. We prefer the 3rd floor, don't mind the stairs, like the taller ceilings, like the view when in an oceanview room.

Agreed! At Hedo, the room is only for sleeping, showering, and sexing... the 500 building delivers peace and quiet when you need it most.

This is a nude category and does cost more than the Oceanview rooms in buildings 800 and 900. You can actually get a suite in this category cheaper than the standard room in the Garden View Nude category.

We are always on the ground floor and absolutely you can hear people above you. We often wonder what the hell the person above of us is doing with the furniture...same person 3 years running now, just seems like she is totally rearranging the room daily....

ooh I've had that person above me in normal hotel rooms, and it annoys me then, nevermind at Hedo!

I guess I am destined to always climb the stairs that seem so much longer when drunk!
