    Jamaica sun vs. Mexico sun

This is our first time to Jamaica...we have been to Mexico several times and are wondering how the sun there compares to Mexico??? Sounds crazy but go figure...we fit in that crazayyy crowd We have been tanning and still have another month to go so it's not like we're not prepared. May 13th cannot get here quick enough!!!

The same. Jamaica and Cancun are very similar in latitude and Cancun is only about 600 miles west I believe. We were in Mexico in Nov. and Jamaica after Xmas. and didn't find any difference in intensity...on the other hand Jamaica skies are much bluer, the ocean much warmer and the atitude much more friendly than Mexico, Once you go...you'll know and not return to Mexico again.....

    Thumbs up

We are from Vegas where the sun is pretty intense. We tan tons before going to Hedo, we still SPF up for protection the first couple of days just to be safe.

Sunblock is your friend! First year, I went without a "pre-tan" and used SPF 30 for a week... I left just as white as a ghost. Last year, we did the pre-tan and used SPF 10 all week. Had a great tan when I left and zero burn.

Just got back from Cancun, Mexico and I tanned right through 50 SPF sunblock on the day I was out in the desert near Chichen Itza. On my beach days in Cancun any tiny spot I missed with the sun lotion got burnt to a crisp. Its true at Hedo you will find alot more shade; I actually have returned from Jamaica 3 times as white as when I left. My co-workers and year round tanning salon fan daughter wonder about this but I just tell them this is why I look 10 years younger and am well into middle age without wrinkles.
