We started back in January for our June trip. My husband is doing well, but I have "stalled out". Like others have said, it doesn't really matter to most people what others look like, just their attitude! But, I like to make myself feel better by looking a little better. Just my 2 cents, tho!

Thanks for your post. I am going to Hedo for the first time and am not in great shape. I had 8 weeks to get in shape and sqaundered it away. Now we are leaving in 3 weeks and i am nervous about how I look. Your post helped my confidence.

I think the best quote I've seen on this site describing the types of people that you'll see at hedo goes something like:

Imagine going to your local mall - Now imagine seeing everyone there naked!

You'll see every type of body there under the sun. At the end of the day, it was the friendly / outgoing people who would have a group of friends / admirers, regardless of how they looked. Just go and have a blast - you'll do fine!

Going for our 5th time to H2 in 12 days. I always ,always worried about my weight. To the point were I let it ruin a good time. Being uptight keeps you from meeting people and having fun. Who is really paying attention to what I look like for more than a second anyway. I lost 25 lbs since Dec. but more importantly, I've gained a "hey this is me attitude." I can't wait to have fun

This is an interesting thread, and thanks to tbone for starting it. I/we, don’t judge others for their shape or size, especially at Hedo. I think all those who dare to bear, should feel proud and liberated. As long as they are healthy, and happy with themselves, we are happy for them. For myself on the other hand, I can be very tough, and I judge my own appearance quite harshly. In my profession, I am required to stay fit, and test annually at work as well. I am not happy with the extra fat that I carry around, but that is me judging me, by my own personal standards. So in preparation for our yearly pilgrimage, I usually run a mass routine (on a much smaller scale than Lee Priest, or Ronny Coleman, LOL) beginning in November till mid February. I find it difficult to get any results in the gym, so I cannot run mass and cutting concurrently. About 6 weeks out, I begin an aggressive cutting routine, together with a fat burning diet, and fat burning sups, coupled with 5k of fat burning cardio. That usually all results in a net gain of “zero” lean mass. But hey, I am tough on myself. This year, I will net out a lean gain of ten lbs, although, I can’t seem to see it in the mirror. Susie works at just staying trim, and healthy year round. She may take a little break during riding season, but that’s ok. So, anyway, what it is now is what it is, we will be on the beach at H2 in 1.5 days. See yaw soon…………….

Thanks for sidetracking us off our diets, Rick & Ivy! The jerk chicken & fries were delicious and put us into Hedo mode for sure. I guess we all need one "cheat day," though. Back on top of things today.

Getting fit for Hedo is no different than losing weight for a wedding, class reunion, or anything else. We dress up for interviews and first dates too. We prep ourselves for events that put more focus on our appearance. Being nude will certainly put focus on your appearance. Losing 10-30 pounds, no matter where you start and how out of shape you are, puts your own head in a better place. The best to hope would be that any hedo inspired improvements stick after returning home. Most women gain their weight back after the wedding and most guys get sloppy after the new year's reolution excitement wears off. Here's to and cheers to the Hedo inspiration outlasting the ab-roller and the vows.

My trip to Hedo III isn't til November but I have a cruise to go on in a few weeks. Thigh master every night (almost).

Trying to dance more too (belly dance). We have a couple of performances coming up. So plenty of incentive to lose some of this weight.

Cut out the french fries and regular sodas a while back but no real weight loss. It seems harder ever since I hit the 30's.

I hate the gym. I love to dance. Going out dancing every couple of weeks will help too I think as long as I keep the alcohol out or at least minimal.

Also trying a weight control hypnosis. I have lost 5 lbs since listening to it every couple of nights. Starting a motivation hypnosis this week.

Good Afternoon fellow Hedonites. I absolute love this thread. I was just thinking about starting a Hedo diet support group thread, what works, what’s not, It’s always easier to stay motivated when you have solid support.

That being said, I have started what I call my yearly Hedo diet, a little late this year. I think it is because I have been to Hedo and I know that I will be accepted no mater how I look. I know that it is difficult to believe for our belove virgins but that good old saying, “Once you go, you’ll know,” is so true, I did not achieve my goals last year but no one really noticed. I am not over weight, if anything I am just average, but I think we all want to feel our best, and knowing that we lost those few extra pounds or fit into those shorts, that you just could not throw away because they were so damn cute, gives us a boast in self confidence.

We are going in June. My wife has always worked out regularly, and it shows, but now she is on a "Mission from God" it seems. She works out every day and counts each and every calorie. I'm in good shape after years in construction, but since January I've been right beside her with her aerobics program, and now I'm into weight lifting again. The thought of walking around naked in Jamaica has been a big incentive for us to look super fit. We have never felt better. In fact, the herniated disc in my neck no longer hurts, the torn rotator in my shoulder is way, way better, and the pinched nerve in my back is no longer an irritation.

Has anyone else gotten into better shape because of the Hedo influence?
Absolutley! Every year I go through this phase which starts in January and gives me 6 months or so to get in better shape. Going to Hedo is a great motivator for me. Like to look my best, plus its good for the overall health and well being. Sounds like your benefitting from excercise and sensible eating already. Good luck to you, and keep it up when you get back, take a break of course! but dont stop.

Well, I don't always eat sensibly, but my wife sure does! I guess my biggest problem is the Miller Lite! I'm starting to really get addicted to lifting. We worked out last night for 2 hours, and I worked out again today for an hour. Man, am I SORE! But the reps are increasing and the weights are getting heavier. I need to go back to Sports Authority to get heavier dumbells. I wish I had all the cool equipment, but we literally have no place to put it all! Oh well! We need a bigger house.......

We have no desire to quit anytime soon. Especially my wife who has been regularly working out for years.

When are you going? It sounds like June because you said that you "start in January and that gives you 6 months to get in shape". We are going June 21 to June 27.

Thanks for the encouragement. Good luck to you as well!

I am another one that works out all year - but I admit Hedo is one aspect of my motivation. I am doing some kind of workout 1 - 1.5 hours every day year around, and Hedo helps keep me pushing harder.

The workouts are certainly not required, and if Hedo was my only motivation I would not be anywhere near as committed. Getting in shape is not a pre-requisite to having fun at Hedo.
