Currently, the TSA 3-1-1 rule still apllies to carry-on bags., That is, the only liquids/gels that can be in your carry-on must be in containers no larger than 3 oz, all containers must fit into a 1 quart ziplock bag, 1 ziplock bag per passenger.

This is suppose to go away sometime in 2009, no word yet as to when.l

    Liquid/gels-

    shampoo/conditioners

    lotions, lubes, sunscreen

    toothpaste, nailpolish,

    perfume, aftershave, shaving cream,

    aerosols, etc....

Thanks for reassuring me that I am not 100% senile, YET, lol. My questions still weren't answered tho':

can make-up kit be in your carry on?

what is the difference between Monistat soothing care and Bikine zone anti bump shaving cream? i'd prefer just one product

what type air freshener in the room for the AC? spray, plug ins, etc?

is there 1 or 2 maids per room cleaning and refreshening daily?

can you carry eyedrops in purse or carry on?

I have my other list of stuff to pack in checked bag

liquid makeup is okay b/c usually it's under 3oz. I use mineral powder makeup, which is great in the heat and has natural sunscreen properties. It also doesn't streak or sweat off. If you use liquid eye makeup remover, make sure it is under 3oz and goes in your liquids bag. I packed all my stuff in checked just so i didn't get a hassle.

what is the difference between Monistat soothing care and Bikine zone anti bump shaving cream? i'd prefer just one product.

Most 'bump care' is either some type of soother (hydrocortisone, glycerin, glycol) or exfoliant (salycilic acid). We brought hydrocortisone cream anyhow, and my facial moisturizer has salycilic acid - so i just used those two and didn't need to purchase anything more.

we got a mini lysol spray at the checkout counter in Walmart. That went in checked bags still in its pegboard cardboard. A friend of ours brought a full size lysol spray in checked bags and they confiscated it from IN her bag.

dont' know the number - I'd assume 1...but also realize you are on Jamaica time. We had one day that we missed cleaning because we had come back to the room around lunchtime for a nap and put out the DND sign. We asked for extra towels the first night, so they kept us overstocked - we didn't always use them all, but we were never in need of housekeeping.

can you carry eyedrops in purse or carry on?

I always carry a little bottle of rewetting drops (btw, Visine is $10 in the gift shop!!!). I tossed that and my inhaler into my 'medicine' bag, which was a gallon ziplock and had all my original prescription bottles in it as well as a written list of the meds. I purposefully asked at security if medicines needed to be put in a bin, and both times i was told NO. I think when you are very open with security, they tend to be less invasive.

any more questions??? ask away or PM me.

The issue is non solid items: liquid, gel, paste, or aerosol. These items are limited to 3.4 oz (or 100 ml) or less, with the exception of prescription medicines or baby items. If you are talking about a solid makeup, you can take all you would like in a carry on. I feel fairly confident that no one is taking an infant to Hedo....lol. If anyone has any questions on specific items, feel free to send me a message - I work for an airline.

Regarding the maids, you have one assigned to your room, we have noticed that from time to time, one may help the other. That being said, when our regular maid is on her day off, we did have a substitute. We always like to make sure the gal we see on arrival, is the permanent gal for gifting purposes.
