    Cool Excursions

What are some of the best excursions you have taken while at Hedo III?

For us, the canopy tour was absolutely the best. We did Dunn's River Fallls as well, which was nice but a huge tourist trap, and we also did Dolphins Cove, and in our opinion was a huge waste of time.

    Cool Thanks

The zip line does sound great. I also have heard Dunns Fall is somewhat a trap. Is Y S Falls better are is it worth the trap to see Dunns.

    Thumbs up

We didn't get off the resort until trip #5, the ole sand gravity monster had a good grip on us. We have since been to Margaritaville Ocho Rios, not a bad trip, included some shopping for the wife. We have also been to Nine Mile, home of Bob Marley. Nice drive up into the mountains. But, it is definitely a tourist trap when you get there, the cost of trip is a bit much for what you get in return, they tell you to bring a camera, but when you get to the mausoleum you can not take pix inside. We would not do it again.

    excursions

We did Dunn River Falls in Feb 08.
A little pricey for what it is. Doing the human chain up the falls is a pain in the neck. If we did it again (and that's not likely) I'd walk solo up the falls.

We'd like to try the nude cruise. We hear it's a good time.

Forgo the Appleton's Estate Tour - waste of time and money. 3-4hrs each way for a 90 minute tour and lunch.

has anyone done the horseback riding?

none of us are advanced riders...and i don't think any of us have been on a horse in a good 5 years. Last cruise I went on, I was going to do this but would have had to go on the tour alone, so the $80USD really swayed me against going by myself.

My only concern this time is if we sit on horses for 3 hours.....is that the only thing I'll be able to straddle the rest of the week

After only two short, but wonderful trips we have never made it away from the resort. Maybe one day, but maybe not!!!

The zip line was a blast. I have a couple of 30 second video's of flying through the canopy if anyone wants me to post them somewhere

The canopy tour is awesome. Definitely worth doing. Dunns River Falls can be fun, but I definitely recommend doing it solo. I passed on holding hands and had fun finding my own way up. I haven't done horse back riding or the ATV tour, but they leave from the same place as the canopy tour. Looked like everyone had a good time. We didn't go but a few friends had a great time on the nude cruise. I think the people make that so if you can get your friends together I think it is worth it.

If you are not sure about the excursions, just see how you feel when you are there. Once you book, I don't think you can cancel for the most part. Check in with the desk and see when you have to book for the various things you are interested in.

Have a great time no matter what. We went three times before we left the resort.

Dunns was Great just be carful if you only bring Thong bikinis because they make you strip to your Swimsuit as soon as you get off the Bus and it was a LONG walk for my Girlfriend in a very little bikini hahaha

    We did HB riding

We did the Mountain and Ocean horseback riding - we loved it! We'll probably go again this year. I don't think it was 3 hours though - seemed like half that would be about right.

We had a great local fun guide - excellent rider, and we got to "ride" the horses in the ocean - more like float over them as they swim - lol. That part was brief - the major part was up into the mountains on a trail, learning about local plants and stuff too as we went.

We hadn't ridden in years and we were ok the next few days - just a tiny bit saddle sore - didn't even notice it after the second round - lol.

Dunns River and Dolphin Cove are great!!!! I Have been to both twice now. First time was back in 2005 on a cruise and this past June. I wanted my wife to do both since it was our honeymoon and she has never experienced them. Margaritaville (SP ?) was really good also.
