First-timers planning for March

Hi all! Hubby & I are thinking about making our first appearance at Hedo II mid-March, but not sure of the exact dates yet. My question for all you experienced Hedo-ers (Hedo-ites??) is: does March break have an impact on Hedo occupancy? I know other resorts will be full that week, but what about Hedo? I'm thinking that the family/college party resorts would see it more (at least, that's what I'm hoping!)...any suggestions? Should we go ahead and reserve that week, or wait until the week after March break?

We are going to Hedo II the first week of March. The event is Kama Sutra at Hedo. Hmmmm. Sounds fun, huh? There is kama sutra lessons daily on the beach, a professional body painter and a porn star there during the week. This is only our second time at Hedo II but we're looking forward to it. You're invited!

Hmmmmm....a whole Kama Sutra week? Sounds delightful! I guess we'll have to make up our minds pretty soon and just go ahead and book...maybe I'll just close my eyes and point to a week!

We will be at Hedo 2 March 20 to 27th for our second visit. We love it last year in April, everything was perfect except for some rain the first couple of days. But the rain also created opportunities to meet new people. You will love it whenever you decide to go!!

I understand that most of the people coming for the Kama Sutra week are on a charter from Canada. If you google "kama sutra hedonism 2009" you'll be able to see the event and there are links to the Canadian travel agency that is promoting it. Hope to see you there.

Thanks for the info...I did Google it, looks like a great time! First day back at work after the holidays, so I'm going to be looking into scheduling in the hopes that we can both manage to be away that week!

Beachbums, I actually booked this by winning a SkyAuction auction. Saved a bunch. If you do that, make sure that the auction you're bidding on allows travel and lodging on the days you are wanting to go. Regardless, book the Kama Sutra week and we'll see you there and have loads of fun.

We've been the 3rd week in March 2004-2006, and 2008. The Spring Break kids mostly stay elsewhere ($), and the ones we've encountered who actually stayed at Hedo II have been pretty clued. They've never been enough in number to really change the Hedo vibe. There are day/night pass Breakers who have fit into the mix less well, but never enough to be a problem, especially if you view them from an anthropological point of view, of watching the natives/tourists and their quaint folkways.

The resort overall has been usually at 40-60% of capacity then. This doesn't have the energy of the Fluffernutters take-over week that we've been to in July, but it's still enough people that the Hedo vibe is there.

Not going this March due to $, but 192 days 16 hours 52 minutes until touchdown in July with the Fluffs.

We was at Hedo 2 last year in March at the same time as John & Carol HAD A BLAST!!! The kids that stayed stuck to the prude side and did not see them in the disco or out at night (was Hammered by then was lucky to find my zipper by that point) some young girls did make it over to the nude side but stayed in a small group on the beach (they thought we was going to take there kidneys and sell them on E-bay or something). It looks like it will be a good mix of peps March 2 to 11 of all age groups that makes it fun. We are 38 M and 35 F and from New Orleans if we don't find fun we make it fun

PS: Wife just told me why I could not find zipper WAS NAKED

Mrs. HedoJoe & I will be there March 21 to 28. We have been there in June and I have been there several times in September. We are looking forward to a fun trip in 81 day but first I have to put up with my sisters in law on a cruise in 3 1/2 weeks.

Been there three years in a row mid march and could not have had a better time, the weather is great and always enough people to have a great time. We are booked march 17th thru the 24th . I am already tired of cold weather.
