first time Hed II 3/26/05 - 4/3/05

My wife (26) and I (30) are first-timers that are booked at Hed II 3/26-4/3. I have a few questions that I would greatly appreciate some help with.

1) Is it true that we will need to reserve chairs at the pools as soon as we arrive? Should we bring our own towels for this?

2) Would it be a good idea to bring our own blanket to use to lay out on the beach?

3) We are active and would like to get involved with the watersports, climbing wall, etc. Is the equipment in good shape? We selected Hed II because the beach and water looked nicer than Hed III, but I do not want to be disappointed to find that the equipment is old and dilapidated once we arrive.

4) Is hot/cold water in the showers still a big problem?

I wouldn't worry about the pool chairs. Quite frankly I get annoyed at people who dumb their stuff on a chair and then leave. If people didn't try to reserve chairs there would always be enough chairs for everyone wanting to sit.
