AWOL in Hedo, 8/1 to 8/8, 2009...

Well the first trip is completed and we were not sure we were gonna do another, but, you asked for it and here it is...AWOL...The Sequel....

The contract is signed, the rates are looking better than last year. We have increased the number of Quad Ground Floor for next year.

Hope to see you all there again next year and thanks for the blast we had last week.

If we go to hedo 3, it will be during aug 1-3, 2009. Since there will be a group, I heard that the resort caters to them and you can feel left out if you don't come with them. Is that true

Hi Ayla,

There will actually be a couple groups there at that time. It is also a Jamaican National Holiday.

Will you be left out? I would say that I do not know anyone in AWOL that would make you feel left out. Like most groups, we have events that are set up in advance for our members, but we adopt lots of folks while on the resort.

Group travel has a couple benefits in addition to lower rates than the resort itself offers. Our group has only one agenda and that's to just have fun. In that aspect we hold twice weekly group chats so that people know each other before we arrive, it seems to work well. Also at a time when the resort will be booked solid, our group has a "No Bump" guarantee.

what does no-bump mean? and what do the signs DTF mean. So it be wild when we get there. We tryin to ease into hedo 3, maybe we will stay at breezes and try a day pass.

The resort is very busy during that time and they sometimes book more people to the resort than they have rooms for. Contract groups, like AWOL, have "No Bump " clauses in our contracts so that none of our guests will be shipped to another resort.

DIF, stands for Dreaded Island Fever, the feeling one gets when one leaves Hedo and is only cured by return trips to paradise...The resort will be in full party mode the week that we are there. Hedo 3 has 3 sides, the prude, the clothing optional and the nude. If you are party folks that enjoy any type of nightlife, go to Hedo.

We went with AWOL this year for our virgin trip and I can tell you I was very happy we did not stay at Breezes. We actually met two couples that came to hedo from Breezes every night for the nightlife.

As you heard above you can make the vacation whatever you want. My wife and I spent an equal amount of time at the quad pool (clothing optional), the prude beach (much nicer than the nude beach), and the nude pool (24 hour bar).

Hedo is great and I can't imagine going to another resort because you really can make it whatever you want. Also, I would say for Hedo standards my wife and I are pretty tame so if you have any quaestions you want to ask in private feel free to I.M. us.

I know there were many things I was concerned about that I now have the answers for.

We'll be there with you guys! Monieb is going to be teaching aerobics and is all confirmed with Fitbodies (yes, I'm making her work for our vacation this time). We're going to try to get there a few days early so I can celebrate my birthday 8/1 at Hedo. We can't wait to party with the AWOL-ers!

We are sooooo excited to go back to Hedo 3 for AWOL, The Sequel!!! It is difficult to imagine topping AWOL 2008, but I am certain we are going to have a complete blast giving it a try!!!

To any of you who are looking for a great group and want to go in the summer, look into Another Week of Lunacy (www.awolinhedo.com). We are a fun, large group (72 peeps strong in 08) of parteeee people from all over the world. We have only one agenda: FUN FUN FUN FUN.. and that we have!

Contract Hosts, like us, sign a contract with Hedo 3, in that contract, the wording states that no members of our group will be sent to another resort, thats the sweet and simple version, it actually contains contract stuff. I do not know if they give those clauses out to individual bookings.

that is absolutely NOT true. the resort caters to EVERYONE.

I've never gone with a 'group', and have always had a blast..

that's not to say I haven't made good friends with people in the groups..
