60 and up as 70's are closer than 60's and 30"s would be farther

    Rooms

We just got back day before yesterday and are suffering!!! WHen requesting your room, just make sure you ask for a nice updated room. We had a great time, but our room was HORRIBLE! Money was no object when we made our reservations, and we had accomadations that could barely be rated a 2 Star. We are still going back to Hedo, but will make it very clear what we expect - we are going to request the most expensive, nicest room available!! We realize you are not in your room much, but it sucks when it is 90 degrees in your room all of the time - the air did not work, the sink and tub did not drain very well, and our telephone and coffee maker did not work.

Sorry to hear about certain things not working for you rnegade3, very unfortunate indeed. I don't want to rain on your parade but all hedo rooms are the same with the exclusion of the jacuzzi rooms that have sliding doors leading out to the beach/garden area (depending on area booked). Knowing that you will return perhaps you'll soon remember more the majic of hedo and not stress so much about the little stuff. I'm not trying to poopoo your complaints at all..........

Believe me, we didn't even let it ruin our time. We just accepted it and had a great time! We just expected better accomadations for the price.

Our a/c quit last trip as well - they came cleaned the filter which we knew was not the problem but that was all the guy could do. They moved us from poolside to nude ocean view. Upgraded at no cost to us - they would not let us move anything other then contents of safe.

One major difference in the rooms these days is new AC vs. old AC. The new AC blasts cold air like a skating rink cooler. Some old AC units can barely keep the room down to 75F. Good to ask for a room with the new units (and remember to turn it off sometimes to avoid getting ice on the walls).

I don't recall there being an issue with the A/C before...Probably because we spent like 30mins per night in our rooms...LOL>.. Now this one night, or should I say early morning, we went to another couples room to check out there dust bunnies and it got real hot in there, I am sure that the A/C was the problem...LMAO....or not!
