    Dead Forum

This forum has been pretty much dead for a while. Is anybody out there or are you all at Hedo already. We are counting down the days, less than three months to go

DIF is a bitch!!! My question is "is it better to have gone to Hedo and then gone home or to never have gone to Hedo at all?" I know the answer to my question but damn!!!! DIF royally sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is worse since I got back.
Looking to hopefully go back in 2010!

Maybe this'll get a conversation going ... I gotta question for the swingers out there!

Did you first swing *because* it's all the positive things (lifestyle; sex; relationships) you were looking for, or did you come to feel that way *after* exploring swinging?

Do you feel it's a catalyst toward future change in the monogamous "norms" or do you feel it's actually a preservative of standard, "family values" in that it can help circumvent cheating, jealousy, possessiveness, and improve communication and the erotic element of relationships?

    Just curious ...!

Our first was 3 somes, with a guy, with a girl. Seemed like fun. We then moved to steady girlfriends as joan's interested in girls grew. We then discovered the "swingers" get togethers (meet and greets). Found some of our best friends in and out of the lifestyle thru them.
We have an outstanding sex life, and just adding a little spice is alot of fun. Being a cop I know firsthand how short life can be, how many people leave this earth too early. We just don't want to be older and think back and say "man maybe we should have tried this, or that, or her or him (lol)".
We have also found that even though it is supposed to be an "open minded" type group, that many frown on our Dom/sub lifestyle, because they don't understand or approve. So is the future getting better, yes, but just because swinging world is coming out more, and being more open, its not making as big a jump forward as some think.
I also think that swinging is not going to ever help circumvent cheating, jealousy, etc. If its there, nothing can change it. But it can open communication between a couple, and that will most certainly help any relationship. If some jealousy surfaces and you discuss it openly, then you work thru it.
So yes, swinging can definetly help a relationship. But if there are insecurities and problems, it can magnify them, and ruin a relationship.
It is not for everyone. It definetly works for us.
