This was our third trip to HII and first trip since the invention of our children (which started on the last trip!) nearly nine years ago!
Flights were great, actually early! Barely sat down in the SC lounge when our shuttle was ready to go. Arrived at check-in around 2:30pm and the room was ready and waiting. Our room (2257) was very close to the room on our first trip which was marred only by the basketball court right outside the room. The spa is a much improved neighbor...never made a sound!
We dropped our stuff and immediately headed out in search of both old and soon to be new friends! We met Frank and Jennifer on our first trip and have been friends ever since, so the first hugs were reserved for them! We talked and caught up over some late lunch at the Reggae Cafe on the beach (we ate there many times and it was great every time).
Because of this forum, we had a list of people to track down and get to know. We met them all except for R & L, who must have kept turning left when we went right for the day that our trips overlapped. We met D&K, Natureboy & ChickyP, the TallViking from Sweden, Bunz, Rusty & Robin and many,many more!
Officially traveling for the first time with the "Buttcrackers", we were made to feel very welcome from the start. The group is a great bunch of fun loving, laid back hedonists! Much respect for all!
The weather was incredible all week long! Note of caution, the Jamaican sun laughs at 30spf! We didn't properly prep our white butts, so we were both sitting softly after day one. Thank God for trees on the beach!!
The snorkeling was just as good, if not better, from the beach than out on the reef. Three to five feet of water on the nude side towards the boat dock end yeilded an impressive array of marine life. Rays, puffers, urchins, lobster, starfish, many types of fish and an imposing group of about 8 barracuda (some up to 2' long") were very easy to see! After seeing what is on the ground, I would only float out from shore or walk out in the sandy areas. Penis jewelry wouldn't be such a great idea with the barracudas around!
Food was great everywhere with the Munanson "restaurant" the only one I would pass on. You can't fry rice without loads of butter!! Smoothies in the morning, excellent breads all day, and different selections every night made it just right. I ate my weight in Jerk Chicken! I expected it to be hotter, but I guess toning it down a little isn't sucha bad idea. A couple hundred naked people with the runs wouldn't be pretty to say the least.
There weren't any problems with singles. Actually, we met some great singles with some very interesting stories. We met an unbelievably hot Itallian runway model who spoke very little english (upping the hottness factor) who had spent the previous two weeks at HIII and was starting a two week tour of HII. We also met a guy from Washington, I called him "stand-up guy" until I got to know him. Cool dude! He could probably tell you something about everyone in the whole place. Observation is king! He seemed happy to just wait to find the right couples who were in need of his services.
My only gripes would be about the rooms and the EC's participation. The rooms need to be updated, 3 star wold be generous in my opinion. The EC's didn't seem to be very motivated. Most activities didn't happen, or were half-assesd. Note to Staff reading this...Toga night is dieing. Please do something about this! Maybe you could have sheets at the front desk to be picked up, so that you wouldn't have to distribute them to the rooms.
At one point, I was standing at the nude pool bar and just looked around. What an incredible place this is to bring all these different people together. People from all walks of life, body sizes and types, probably 60 years of age differences, boobies of all makes and models, and all naked! Nakedness kinda levels the playing field! Good times!!
We made great new friends, Danny & Kristen as well as Del and Vicky! All were on their virgin trip and I am sure that they will have great memories for a lifetime! They made our trip even better than we could have asked for! Del and Vicky are always the first on the dancefloor and have the biggest smiles. I hope to be as happy and as much in love as you two when I grow up!! Danny and Kristen are a little younger than us and we twisted their arms to come over to the nude side on the first day (we didn't have to twist too hard)! We had a great time hanging with you two and the horseback ride and photo shoots were a lot of fun!! May we all meet again!
Now back to dreaming and planning our next trip to paradise!
