    Bud Light Drinker

    Hello all,

My girlfriend and I are going to hedo3 on May 9-16 and are newbies. We are also getting are married on the 12 th there. But my question is this. I am a strick Bud Light drinker at home and really don't drink much else. And from what I understand. If you want one of those, you have to purchase one from the gift shop. Is this true and If not where else can someone get one. Or does anyone have any idea's what someone like myself could drink instead. Is there any other beer there besides Red Stripe. I hope. lol

    Thanks.

The beer at the resort is on tap and is called Red Stripe. If you know someone that has a suite, they also put a couple bottles of beer in there, but I can not recall what the brand name is other than to say, its not Bud Light.

Yes, you can purchase Bud Light in the gift shop at a not so cheap price. We have traveled the last few trips with a gentleman that is a beer distributor and he assures us the beer stocked on the resort in the gift shop is out of code.

I would recommend trying the Red Stripe, not a favorite of mine here in the USA but its seems to be better on the island

    Bud

Friends of mine had to take a trip into town, i think it was Ocho Rios to get a case of Bud. Might have been Trelawny. But ask one of the luggage handlers, Ray is a good guy and he'll point you in the right direction. But expect a big premium.
    Oh and happy honeymoon.

    joet,

The only rooms that have 'fridges in them are the suites, though I have heard you can rent one for a fee.

A couple of years ago we met another "Bud Light Junkie" who could not drink anything else. He actually shipped himself about 4 cases of Bud Light by Fed Ex. Of course he had to pay import duty on the shipment so it wound up costing him something close to the national debt to have his beer. He WAS a happy camper though.

I am a lager drinker and am not too picky about what kind, but I do not really care for red stripe for some reason. I will probably stick to the whiskey while I am there.

Thanks for all the help and input. I don't think I'll try the import of any cases or anything since I don't want to sell the family ranch (lol)(thanks for the heads up Sunset Bill. I did think about that idea before lol) but I guess I'll just give the ol Red Stripe Light a go( Thank you pornstar1360. If a lovely looking lady like yourself makes a suggestion. I almost have to do as she say's) . Even if I a have to bring a case of Big Red along( thanks for the great idea joetcool) to choke it down. As everyone else agree's. F*@k it. It's free. Who cares. lol

FYI, after a couple of dazes, the Redstripe can get to me sometimes, when that has happen, I go to the lobby, find Jeffery the porter, and have him get me a case of Guiness, its not cheap, bout $30/US, but sometimes I need a break
