    Visiting

    Hey fellow Hedonites:

Single, 30 year old, black American female, college educated, professionally employed (don't have to put a bag to take me out in public either...!) First trip to Hedo III April 6th to April 11th.
Okay, I need to know a few things...

    1. I'm sure its safe, but is there anything I need to be aware of?
    2. Will there be young (25-40)single guys there? (I'm not a prude, but I really don't like to impede upon marriage vows)
    3. What should I bring?
    4. Are the costumes better store bought or home made?
    5. Will I need real clothes, or is bathing suits and shorts sufficient?
    6. Do they have Wi-Fi in case I need to do some work?
    7. Will I have a problem smoking in my room or laying on the beach (left-handed cigarettes)?

Any other advice? My mom is fit to be tied, but I'm doing this for me!

Any advice you could give would be great!

    Hi SerpFire!

I am the same demos as you except I am 22, lol. I wouldn't say their is anything you need to be particularly aware of in regards to safety. Just as you would anywhere, keep your personal belonings, (money, cameras, wallets, etc.) close, don't leave them carelessly hanging around.

Yes, there should be single men around, I understanf how you feel about respecting others' wedding vows. You won't have any problem finding single guys.

You should bring plenty of suncreen (I have this spray on sunscreen that also takes care of mosquitos), cash (lots of singles, because most Jamaicans seem to never have change lol), flipflops will be your best friend, sunglasses, some of those little swimshoes because the floor all around the resort can be slippery including in the rooms because of the humidity, a swimsuit (atleast one even if you plan to be nude), an underwater camera, batteries and film (if you have a regular camera), ... I can't think of anything else in particular, Ill let you know if I do...

People have store bought and homemade costumes it just depends on you, for the toga party they give you fabric and have a demostration on how to make different out fits for the togas...

I am a person that likes to take alot of bags with all kinds of clothes and shoes (as a matter of fact I have one big bag wit clothes and one big bag with shoes, hats, purses, and accessories), however this is probably unecessary (Im just a little excessive and like having all clothing possibilities with me lol), you should be good with, shorts, tanks, t-shirts, maybe a few sun dresses, flip flops are pretty much good anywhere you go (even in the club, where as I am used to wearing stilettos lol), maybe a pair of tennis shoes or the swimshoes I mentioned earlier if you are planning on doing any excursions where you might be walking or hiking, (like Bob Marley tour, I should have had on some better shoes, because my flip flops weren't working very well....

No Wi-Fi (I know, I nearly died too, I had my labtop thinking I would be able to get on the internet and I couldnt They do have computers and you can purchase time on the net, but its ridiculously expensive lol
but you DON'T NEED TO BE DOING NO WORK... enjoy your vacay...

Smoke cigarettes, not problem, Weed... not really a problem either....
THIS IS JAMAICA!!!! YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT LOL!!!! (almost anything lol)

    1. Just like at home, stay aware of your surroundings! If possible, try to have escort after dark to and from hidden restroom areas and to your room, just to be on safe side !! At H2, the bathroom near nude hottub is kind of hidden back....we went in pairs or made the hubbies go with us !

    4. I made all my costumes around lingerie, just accessorized them!! Bought one cowgirl costume but even it was made out of pajama material...LOL!! We had a superhero/villan night---wore green fishnet bodystocking and took 6 ft of Ivy garland wound it over shoulder and across hips, threw on a red wig, smaller Ivy in hair and poof Poison Ivy !! Use your imagination !! I bought probably 90-95% of my things on Ebay !

    7. We had no problems with doing either of these things but we did specifically request a smoking room---when smoking in your room, might want to keep the window/windows open to move the smoke out so sooo much doesn't get trapped in your clothing--we didn't have any problem at customs but we ventilated..LOL..have heard others have gotten stopped and searched where dog hit on heavy smell coming from suitcase !!

You will have a great time !!!
