I have seen several people talk about the zip line trip they took through the canopy. I want to do this but am having problems finding any link and info on this. Does anyone know who Hedo III uses? I was just looking for more info and $.
Thanks !

Ooh we want to do this as well, well we are going to do it. I think it costs 85 bucks a person, but from what difeerent people tell me its well worth it. Its not all that far from Hedo III also. There are two zip line tours, one in MoBay and one near Ochi. Hedo III folks go to Ochi

I'm going to do more research and maybe call Hedo III and see what they can give me on info. I'll post a link here if I ever find it. We have a couple of friends that will be meeting us down at Hedo III now. We're all going to go. I haven't ziplined or repelled since I was a girl scout leader.... I wonder if I should bring my sash? That'd be a great fetish night costume !!!

Thanks for the link ! That's exactly what I was wanting to see. It seems well worth the money to me. We'd never find anything for that price in the states for that many diversified zip lines. My husband doesn't like heights, but is willing to do it anyway as long as it looks safe. (in other words, I'll go if it looks fun, and he will follow to keep up with me) lol.
Thanks again for the link.
Pixie
We are the couple Rick was talking about. We have done it twice and it was great. Top notch guides and equipment, and a lot of fun. The folks at Chukka Cove do a great job.

Wow, you guys really made up our minds. We are definatly going to sign up for this on our trip. Can I sign up and pay at H3 or do I have to go threw the link?
Thinking of going back on June 12th-15th.....2nd Time.
RaviRav and Pixie- go to the excursion desk across from checkin and they will be able to take care of the arrangements. You will pay at the desk and get a receipt/voucher to present to the bus or van driver for the shuttle over. Take a camera with you if you have one that fits into a pocket you can secure. After you get to the Chukka Cove complex, you will get separated into groups for the various tours. They will load you on a smaller van and start a drive up into the hills. The roads can be rutted and bouncy- for us that was part of the fun. There are several places along the road where an outside curve will give you an amazing view down over the rainforest and down to the ocean. Once you get to the top you will have an introduction and equipment orientation. When we went I was a little weary the first time. I am a fireman and pretty much anyone else's rope equipment makes me worry a little if I have not checked it out myself- no worries there. It seemed well maintained and modern.
You will get harnessed up and then take a nice walk down through the forest to where the ziplines start. NO OPEN TOED SHOES- wear tennies- the hike down is steep in parts and it would be a shame to get hurt on the walk and have to walk back up the hill and take the bus up.
At the bottom there are a couple really nice spots for photos along a beautiful river that runs through the forest. You will walk down a trail and there will be refreshments- rum punch and water I think- don't rightly remember.
Enjoy- let us know how you like it.

WOW Thanks Nick (and the scrumptous Kerry) for all the info. I will be doing this. But in your opinion which is more senic Dunns River tour or the Zip line?
Thinking of going back on June 12th-15th.....2nd Time.
Ravirav- I actually did laugh out load when I read your question about which is more scenic. To be honest, Dunn's River is something we have talked about but were never able to break the sand gravity long enough to go do. The things I have heard about it are that it can be hard work, and it's a major tourist trap- someone probably has better info than me I am sure there are others who have done it who will read this thread- anyone????

Thanks for the info. We decided we definately will do the zip line. I did just a small one with girl scouts when I was a leader and it was a blast, so I'm really excited about this one !! I was really wondering about the shoes, so thanks for that info too !
hmmmm trying to figure how to do the zip line and hold on to my camera at the same time

Leave your camera at the hotel. You're constantly in motion on the tour and it's tough to take good pics. A photographer goes with the group and gets really good shots that they put on CD along with helmet cam videos of the ziplines for $20.
Take another $20 to tip the guides, as said before, they do a GREAT job.
I disagree with edotree- we have taken ours both times and I have actually done video along the longest of the lines where I have actually included myself in the shots instead of seeing the stock helmet cam footage. We bought the disc the first time, not all that impressed, though some of it was nice. Yes they do video and pictures during the tour, but I prefer to take some of my own as well- especially at the end of the tour next to the river. one hand on the rope- or none- and one hand on the camera. No worries with a wrist strap!
