Interaction with local Jamaican men . . . is it safe?

After reading a number of threads that make reference to single Jamaican men entering the HEDO II compound, especially the disco and the hot tub, I am curious about the reason for locals to come down and party at HEDO II.

I have no problem with single Jamaican men showing up to party, hey, everyone wants a good time! But I am somewhat apprehensive about their motivation. We are very open-minded and my wife is drooling over the "hot" Jamaican men that you see in the travel brochures, But that's just a fantasy. What about the reality? Is it safe to mingle with these local "guys" and will they show us the same courtesy and respect that we expect from the registered guests at HEDO? Are they there to boogie and dance or are they there to mix and mingle? Are they there to provide sexual favours for the guests and, if so, at what price? Is there a safety concern and a "line" we should not cross?

We are looking forward to a fun and relaxing time at HEDO II in March and we don't want to get into situations that we could (or should) avoid!

Your input and advise is appreciated!

    A&N:
    Are you being serious?!?!?
There is a tone in your message that pissed me off.
Why would a Jamaican have a motive, for visiting Hedo, that differs from the rest of us?!?!?!?
If your wife has a fantasy about fucking a local, let her decide her comfort level. She is an adult, if someone offends her, she is capable of speaking up.
My advice is to be equally cautious, no matter the race, creed, color or national origin.
I am no more apprehensive about Jamaicans at the resort, especially since I enjoy frequenting their country, than say, people I have chatted with here on the boards.
Why would you presume that, Jamaicans visiting the resort, are there for profit / your sexual needs. Come on!
How are we to know if an individual, with a day/night pass will show you respect?
Things you should / could avoid?!?!? Prejudices.
Please leave any preconceived notions at home.
Follow your gut... If someone gives a negative vibe, keep on moving.
    Nonetheless, enjoy your March trip.

Wow, there is a lot of pent-up hostility in your answer. Sorry I touched a nerve. I apologize. Anyhow, I thank your for your unbiased reply.

3rd world men of any hue...

Having been around a bit in nasty places and doing what I do, your question scares the frikken bejayzuz out of me.
I'd be extra cautious WRT ANY body that is looking to play intimately as an anonymous entity at a level they have not attained on their own and have, so to speak, nothing to lose and all to gain by being less than honest, respectful or playing outside the bounds of saftey. More than once have defective and desperate individuals saved their pennies or otherwise snuck in somewhere to steal a taste of a lifestyle far above their level as a last fling and care not a whit what damage they cause in the process. Plenty of bad juju and emotional pathology in third world contries and plenty of fatalistic and selfish attitudes the naive can get hurt by. Intentionally victimizing wealthy and fairly clueless Americans is high sport in many parts of the world among the poor and envious locals. There is rio risk free activity, just better or worse risk management, so do what you think is best in a high risk environment.

While we were there Valentines week we noticed on several occasions actual staff that were "off duty" (ie.. out of uniform) and seemed to be walking around hanging all over the older men, it what appeared to be an attempt to make sure they were happy. Some hang out with those men and their wives all night, following them from dinner, to piano bar, to disco. Was it prostitution? Probably not. More like an escort there to entertain and make sure they had fun. In one instance we saw one of the wives get pretty upset at one of the girls hanging all over her husband. The girl then moved on to another man.

While one of the most open and relaxed people around, I am, admittedly, hypersensitive to, what I view as, racist or sexist remarks.
Trust that there is no pent-up hostility here at all.
    More like pent-up !
Perhaps my response was a bit too spirited. Apologies.
You know, when reading these posts, things are often taken out of context.
You asked a simple question, and it has now turned into overanalyzing the motives of the entertainment staff. LOL
The important thing is that you and your wife feel safe and comfortable at the resort, and the choices you make while there; however the two of you define it.
    Go…
    Experience...
    Enjoy…
    Fulfill your fantasies…
    Interact...
    Return home…
    Write a kick-ass trip report…
Book a return trip for Hedo 3 this June!
We can share a few drinks and laugh about our posts on the board.
    Peace

Hey Ebony, you're a true sport!

I'm glad we straightened out the "race card issue"! My request was simple and straight forward; we're going to a foreign country and we would like to know about the relationship that exists between the local "guests" and the vacationers at HEDO II. This is simply a matter of safety and local custom. There is no "hidden agenda" in my question. I was born and raised in Holland, which is arguably the most progressive and tolerant nation in the world. We embrace all creeds, colors and faiths without reservations. But I still wouldn't embrace a Muslim woman in Saudi Arabia (as it is not their custom), nor would I subject myself or my wife to the company of someone (male or female) who may not be part of the “easy feeling” spirit of HEDO II.

In a previous question about outsiders infringing on the enjoyment of HEDO by its guests, the following comment was posted:

“Ya, when there is a problem, it is usually from a local.”

Again, I’d like some input on the safety issues. We’re not naïve when it comes to assessing someone’s intentions, but we don’t want to make assumptions on one or two posted observations.

    Thanks D! Ditto.
I agree we MUST get together!
There really needs to be a 4hedonism.com group trip.
It would be great for everyone to party together for a week or two!
I thought that I saw the idea posted before.
    Let's investigate.

    A&N:

I am happy that we straightened it out as well.
Perhaps a couple, who shared your same concerns prior to visiting the resort, will chime in and advise you on handling such safety issues.
Until then, here are links to posts on another board, (some are quite dated) where the topic of security, safety and locals were discussed:

    Safety @ Hedo Post

    Security @ Hedo Post

    Safety @ Night Post

    Intimate With Locals Post

I hope that there is an answer somewhere in there! LOL

I was just at Hedo 2 and some locals did come in to hang out and enjoy the resort, I noticed they were more modestly dressed and seemed to keep to themselves. The ET staff was great and they do there very best to make sure everyone is having fun. Im sure you and your wife(partner) will have a great time the energy at the resort is amazing.

My experience was that some of the staff and locals were defintitely very amiable and willing to please but they also were very polite iin their requests If this is not what is desired then a polite no is all that is required.

I don't think any man jamaican or otherwise can ever intimidate other lady to play, unless the she herself inclined to indulge with him. I won't even try to come on to. It is too risky. Chances for the couple or female to say "No" outnumbers to say 'Yes'.

If the staff have sex with the guests at Hedo3 and they are found out, they will be fired. Glen the last piano guy got fired cause he was caught coming out of a guests room.
